NASCAR Jack: Nationwide in Montreal - rain or shine
By NASCAR JACK

Let it rain.

The forecast for Sunday’s Nationwide race in Montreal calls for showers. But unlike the Cup races, it doesn’t automatically mean the race will be cancelled. If it rains they will do what they did last year- use rain tires. It made for a very interesting afternoon highlighted by Carl Edwards with his arm out the window holding a squeegee and wiping his windshield.

Jacques Villeneuve, son of Gilles Villeneuve whom the track is named after actually wants the rain. He says it’s more fun. That Jacques is a laugh a minute.

Last year’s Nationwide in Montreal was won by Canadian Ron Fellows. Nine Canadians are entered in all including Alex Tagliani and Patrick Carpentier.

Rain or shine, with no Cup race this weekend I think we are in for some great racing entertainment.

Dale Earnhardt Jr. had two Top-10s in his last two races. It’s not a breath-taking accomplishment by any means but it could mean he and crew chief Lance McGrew are getting closer to building a car that can actually perform.

Obviously, Kyle Busch has been reading back issues of columns from “Miss Manners”. If this keeps up, whom will NASCAR Nation have to hate? Tony Stewart became a poster boy for good behavior leaving Kyle with the crown. Now Kyle has become as mild mannered as a dead parrot.

What's next- Howard Stern announcing he is studying for the priesthood?
