We were 1-2 yesterday as Josh Johnson and the Marlins choked and so did Donovan McNabb and the Eagles. We look to bounce back with 2 selections today.

    1) L.A. Angels vs Toronto Blue Jays

    Pick: L.A. Angels (5 units)

The Angels (73-46) have the second best record in the majors. They are a force to reckon with and have been devouring weak to mediocre teams all year long winning 23 of their last 27 contests versus opponents with losing records. The Jays are 2-9 in their last 11 versus opponents with winning records. The reason that the Angels are the underdog is because they are on the road and starting Sean O’Sullivan (3-1, 5.91). Although O’Sullivan’s numbers are not attractive by any means, the Angels are 7-1 in his 8 starts this year. He will square off against Marc Rzepcynski (1-3, 3.98). The Jays are 1-5 in Rzepcynski’s last 6 starts. Additionally, the Angels are 7-1 in their last 8 as a road underdog +110 to +150. Toronto is 1-8 in their last 9 games as a favourite of -110 to -150. Angels are 5-2 in their last 7 meetings in Toronto.

Lay 5 units on the Angels.

    2) Baltimore Orioles vs Chicago White Sox

    Pick: Chicago -1.5 (3 units)

The White Sox show significant value on the runline in this pitching mismatch. Gavin Floyd (10-7, 3.94) takes the mound. The White Sox are 24-6 in his last 30 home starts and 6-1 in his last 7 home starts versus a team with a losing record. He will square off against Jeremy Guthrie (7-12, 5.66). The Orioles are 0-4 in his last 4 starts versus a team with a winning record. Additionally, the White Sox are 8-2 in their last 10 contests versus a right handed starter. Baltimore is 3-12 in its last 15 versus a right handed starter.

Lay 3 units on Chicago runline.
