Derek Holland is the Rangers top pitching prospect and has struggled for most of the season, but he may beginning to show signs of coming around. Holland just missed a complete game shutout in his last start against Seattle. Holland retired 24 out of his first 25 batters and struck out 10. Holland has a very favorable matchup here against a weak hitting Oakland team that struggles against lefties. The A's will send Gio Gonzalez to the mound and he has an overall ERA of 7.38 this season and and ERA of 9.20 in his three starts. Texas does very well against lefties and I look for them to pick up the win here. Play on the Texas Rangers.
