Today's Complimentary Selection
I guess the only bad news of the day yesterday was the fact I didn't nail my free play on St. Louis. Still, I've hit 13 of my last 18 free plays and 9 of my last 13. It doesn't seem to matter right now, no matter what I release wins more often than not and you could be winning cold hard cash by just playing my free selections. Now, just imagine how much better you'd be doing if you were following me on my dime selections. Another easy 40-dime winner last night on the Texas Rangers and we are pushing +500 dimes for the season. Remarkable if I do say so myself. Tonight we have another 40-dime winner that you need to get a hold of RIGHT NOW. Don't miss out.
Tonight's free play winner is on the San Diego Padres over visiting Atlanta. To be honest, this might be the first time I've backed the Padres all season, whether it be a free play or a dime release. They're terrible, but in this spot tonight at this price I just couldn't pass it up. Youngster Mat Latos (2-1, 2.70 ERA), comes in off his most impressive start to date, allowing just one earned run in seven innings of work vs. Cincinnati in a rare San Diego road win. That one run came on the lone hit he would surrender... a solo shot by Jerry Hairston. We might not know much about this guy, but after watching him pitch twice so far, color me impressed. He's actually pitched well enough in all three games to be 3-0, but I'm quite certain he's satisfied so far with his 2-1 mark. Atlanta isn't a great hitting team anyhow, so combine that with the fact they just played a late game last night at home with Los Angeles, got on a red-eye flight out to the West Coast, and now are expected to perform against a guy like Matos... don't think so. Take the Padres to beat the Braves.
