Well, the free play run continues with another easy winner last night on Seattle. Felix Hernandez was never really challenged and the Mariners cruised to an easy 7-2 win. That makes 13 winners in my last 17 free play releases alone. If you combine that with the fact I'm up over 400 dimes for the entire baseball season, you see just how dominating I can be. I like the St. Louis Cardinals to completely destroy the Houston Astros at home today for a couple of reasons. First, the 'Strost are sending a rookie pitcher to the hill who had a 4-9 record in Triple-A this year. Hardly the type of numbers I'd feel comfortable with knowing I need a big win to stop the bleeding and try to keep pace in the NL Central. Secondly, St. Louis simply doesn't lose to Houston at home. In fact, this season the home team is absolutely perfect in this series. Neither team has dropped a single game to the other one in their home park and I don't see why that should change today. But honestly, the main reason I like the Redbirds today is the fact I don't think Houston can touch the sizzling arm of Adam Wainwright. He's quietly put together 12 wins this season and he did it with a July to remember (4-1, 1.17 ERA) and he always seemed to get the run support he needed in those games. Add to that the fact he has dominated the Astros in his career and you have the recipe for a St. Louis whitewash this afternoon. It's gonna be all Cardinals folks.
