Profile: Chicago comes into this game off of being swept at Minnesota, as well as a 1-6 road trip against the Twins and Tigers. Because of that poor trip, I expect them to be very focused for this home game against the Yankees. The White Sox have been decent at home this season, but they also have the same record at home as the Yankees have on the road. However, the White Sox have a strong starting pitching advantage tonight with Gavin Floyd going up against Andy Pettitte, yet they are still priced as an underdog. Floyd has been one of the strongest home pitchers in the AL over the last two seasons, including this year. He has allowed three earned runs or less in his last seven home starts, and he is in good current form. Floyd also goes deep into his starts as well. Pettitte's performance has historically tailed off in the second half of the year, and he has allowed twenty-five runs in his last six starts, including giving up six runs in three of those starts. Chicago is hitting .262 against lefties at home, over thirty points higher than against righties. Look for the White Sox to get the home win.
