We just setup shop in Saratoga, and a few things are different this
season. Most notably, the fields are huge, which means payoffs should
be large. It also means that your best chance for nice payouts will be
either straight win bets or the Pick 3's and 4's. Supers and Trifectas
will be tough.


Race 2) 6 Furlongs Clm 20000 Selections: 8/3

# 8 Dakota Dunes*
We're going to be benevolent and forget last, but this gelding
still managed a 2nd against a little better. In prior, he was game against
50k claimers, and was leading at today's distance. In race before that, he
wasn't embarassed against modest stakes stock.
We're told to expect more today.

Safer Bet:
a) # 8 to Win, Place or Show

Exotics:
b) Exacta Box: 3/8
c) Trifecta: 3/8 with 3/8 with all.

Race 3) 6 Furlongs Clm 25000 Selection: 9

# 9 Base Commander*
Takes a huge drop from the 100k claiming ranks. He's looked good
training and will be tighter in 2nd start of 2009, after being forced
to the sidelines last September.

a) # 9 to Win, Place or Show
