10 Dime -- Phillies (Moyer) over DIAMONDBACKS (Garland)

PHILLIES

NOTE: List only Moyer as Philadelphia's starting pitcher

Arizona’s Jon Garland (5-9, 4.41 ERA) has not been getting much help from his offense. The right-hander has received three runs or less of support in 11 of his last 12 starts, and has gone 1-7 over that time.Garland can’t entirely blame his teammates for his bad fortune at home this year, as he has a 6.33 ERA in 10 starts at Chase Field.Philadelphia’s 46-year-old lefty Jamie Moyer (9-7, 5.65) continues to amaze, and had won five straight before allowing five runs and eight hits in five innings Wednesday in a 10-5 loss to the Cubs.Garland has been rocked by Philadelphia in two career starts against them, going 0-1 with a 9.90 ERA, but he hasn’t faced Philly since 2004.Moyer, however, is 2-0 with a 3.00 ERA in three career starts in Arizona.Philadelphia is a major league-best 17-4 in July and has won 15 of its last 17. The world champs just got done taking two of three against a talented St. Louis team, so beating the lowly Diamondbacks shouldn’t be too much of a problem today.

Go with the Phillies.
