San Francisco Giants

Jonathan Sanchez is one of the more unpredictable pitchers in baseball. But the Giants lefty is tough at home where he is 2-0 with a 2.42 ERA and 20 strikeouts in 22 1/3 innings.

The Giants are very underrated at home where they have won 17 of their 26 games

Cardinals starter Adam Wainwright is 1-1 with a 5.06 ERA in three career starts versus the Giants. He is not as good on the road as he is at home.

Wainwright is due for a flat spot. He's averaged 109 pitches in his last six starts.

This is a one-unit play for me.

Cincinnati Reds +185

The Reds are worth a shot at this price. Yovani Gallardo is Milwaukee's best pitcher and a rising star. But he's coming off a season-high 126-pitch count in Monday's 1-0 victory against St. Louis when he had a tremendous pitching duel with Chris Carpenter. The Reds got to Gallardo when they faced him earlier this season knocking him out by scoring seven runs.I'm not a huge fan of Reds starter Micah Owings, although I do admire his hitting. Owings does two things well - swing a good bat and be tough on right-handed batters, of which the Brewers are loaded. .Righties are batting just .202 against Owings compared to .363 against lefties. Owings ratio is 1.08 versus righties versus 2.29 against left-handed hitters.

This is a one-unit play for me.
