5-Unit NBA Game of the Week #503 Take Miami +5 Over Atlanta (8 p.m. EST, Wednesday)
After a pitiful performance in Game 1 we think Miami will play much better tonight with a chance to win this game straight up. The Heat never really challenged the Hawks in Game 1 but we have always thought that Miami would steal a game in Atlanta and tonight could be the night. At least we expect a closer game. The Heat shot the ball horribly in the first game, connecting on 37 percent of their shots and they were just 4-of-23 from three-point land. This is way below what they usually shoot and we think that they will make adjustments and play much better tonight on both ends of the court. Miami always plays tough here (7-3 ATS in the last 10 meetings in Atlanta and 21-9 ATS in the last 30 meetings overall). Also, both teams are solid defensively and this should be a low scoring game, making the points we are getting here even more valuable.
