Not liking the Philadelphia pick. They aren't worth the chalk, IMO.

Do you even have to ask? Well, since you did I will say that we're just going to ride the hot team here. The Pirates have been playing well this year. Really well. They are clearly a better team than what they have been fielding. But why mess with Florida right now? And even though the Marlins were about eight outs from being swept by the Nationals over the weekend they keep winning. But besides just getting on a hot team for another series, the Pirates don't hit lefties well. They haven't for years. So we'll take Andrew Miller and the better team over Russ Ohlendorf and the team playing better.

Not a Kevin Correia guy at all. Philly should be going for its third straight win but will instead have to settle for a split. I think that Philly's win in the ninth yesterday might have a little carry over and may have popped San Diego's bubble a bit. The Padres are playing great but this is the last game on the East Coast before shipping West tonight to hit San Fran. So with their bags packed I think that the Padres just want to get out of Philly with all of their limbs attached. The lefties on Philly should have their way with Correia and I think Moyer can dig out another strong home performance.

    Underdog System Plays
    1-Unit Play. Take #902 Washington (+135) over Atlanta (7 p.m., Monday, April 20)

    1-Unit Play. Take #913 Oakland (+170) at N.Y. Yankees (7 p.m., Monday, April 20)

    1-Unit Play. Take #909 Colorado (+110) over Arizona (9:40 p.m., Monday, April 20)

As per these underdog plays: I have really been waffling on my underdog systems. I just have not been following through with them and I assure you that I will either start to or I will scrap it for a few months. Basically, I look at all three of these series and I don't think that there is going to be a sweep in any of them. That is backed by historical performances, matchups, and recent trends. On the other hand, I think that we are going to get underdog prices on all three of our teams for all three of our games. We're going to work a chase on these three teams (1-1-2) and look for them to earn a win for us. I think that it will happen. Oakland has a sweep revenge, which is a whole other system in and of itself that works in our favor, and the Yankees are still very overrated. Washington has sweep revenge from last week and the Braves are banged up and never, ever play well in D.C. The Rockies series is a divisional game and, in a schedule quirk, they actually are playing their second series in Arizona. They faced Webb-Haren-Davis the first trip and took two of three (they actually should have swept the series) and this time around they get Garland-Petit-Haren. I really hope it doesn't come down to De La Rosa vs. Haren in Game 3 but I think that the Rox will get a win before it gets to that.

    Carpe diem, and good luck.

I liked Oakland and San Diego (going against Ferringo there), but both games have been postponed.

Makes it a 3.5 unit day for Ferringo.
