    LOL, I hear you. Here's the write-ups

Yes, this is going to be my biggest card of the year in terms of games played. But if the Chicago game isn't played - and with the weather it looks like it won't be - then we're looking at around 2000 on the board today. So while it's a lot of plays and a lot of cards to fill out (sorry we don't have anything to "go big" on, but that's not my style) we don't really have an excessive amount of loot in the air. Think of it like a football Sunday.

    And let's kick some ass.

    1.5-Unit Play. Take #957 Atlanta (-115) over Pittsburgh (1:30 p.m., Sunday, April 19)

It's desperation time for the Braves. Chipper should be back in the lineup, Brian McCann said that his eye was feeling better after some antibiotics that he started taking Friday, and Yunel Escobar might be back in the lineup (ab) as well. Bottom line is that it's all hands on deck right now for Atlanta as they quickly watch a once-promising season slip away. Also, one of my favorite systems is to fade pitchers coming off a complete game. Had I not been an idiot and just done so yesterday we would have went 2-1 with our sides. It's a solid system and I think that the Braves manage to end a five-game slide.

    1.5-Unit Play. Take #970 N.Y. Yankees (-1.5, -120) over Cleveland (1 p.m., Sunday, April 19)
I think Cleveland got New York's attention. Not much to explain here if you have any idea about the Tribe's 22-4 scalping yesterday. Throw in Carl Pavano's return to the Bronx and if the Yankees can't get up for this win then they are much, much worse than I thought.

    1-Unit Play. Take #959 Cincinnati (-115) over Houston (2 p.m., Sunday, April 19)
This play is very similar to my Colorado play (below). We have a very tight ump working the plate and I expect plenty of runs. In a game like this it is a big advantage for us to have an arm that can fight through and get some swings and misses. Ed Volquez is just that guy. Also, the Reds got smoked yesterday after stealing one in Game 1. I think they manage to even this series up today before losing tomorrow. I think this series has 2-2 split written all over it and I'll take our severe pitching edge over a history of failure in this ballpark.

    1-Unit Play. Take #963 Colorado (+105) over L.A. Dodgers (4 p.m., Sunday, April 19)
I just am willing to say that after getting knocked around in L.A. for two games that the Rockies suck it up behiind one of their best arms, Ubaldo Jiminez, and get the job done today. I expect a load of runs today and I think that works in the advantage of the Rockies, since Jiminez will be better equipped than L.A.'s rookie starter in terms of digging down and fighting through a tough strike zone. Playing against a sweep here, even though the Rockies are always awful in L.A.

    1-Unit Play. Take #968 Toronto (-125) over Oakland (1 p.m., Sunday, April 19)
Basically, the Jays have been the best day baseball team in the Majors over the past two years. And with Oakland maybe slightly looking ahead to a trip to the Bronx for some Monday baseball I think that Toronto can get under the wire here and take this series. The Jays have won seven of the past 10 meetings and this play comes down to one more thing: the Blue Jays lineup smokes left-handed pitching (.290), while Oakland's is hitting just .210 against southpaws. That gives us the edge.

    1-Unit Play. Take #980 Seattle (-105) over Detroit (4 p.m., Sunday, April 19)
Even though they lost yesterday I still think that Seattle is a hot team. And against a Detroit team that is up one day, down the next, and eager to get out of the Pacific Northwest, I think that Carlos Silva manages to hold it together just enough today to earn Seattle another victory. Despite a win yesterday, the Tigers have still been a dreadful road team over the past three seasons and I don't think they will take two of three from a team playing very good ball.

    1-Unit Play. Take #954 Philadelphia (-150) over San Diego (1:30 p.m., Sunday, April 19)
The Phillies had that game last night but a stunning ninth inning loss ripped it away from them. The Padres have been playing exceptional ball but I think that they accomplished what they set out to do by winning back-to-back East Coast series. The Phillies were one run the other way and a 1-2-3 ninth inning away from going for a sweep this Sunday. Instead they are fighting for their first win of the series. I think that they scrounge up some pride and get the job done today.

4-Unit Play. Take ‘Over’ 8.0 St. Louis at Chicago Cubs (8 p.m., Sunday, April 19)
    Note:
    Drop to a 3-Unit Play.

Don't think that this one is going to get played because of the weather. But the lat time I thought that I missed out on a Game of the Week-level side, so I'm going to put this one up here.

3.5-Unit Play. Take ‘Over’ 9.0 Los Angeles Angels at Minnesota (2 p.m.,
    Sunday, April 19)

I thought it was +1.1 units. I just used -110 for all the totals

I broke even, up 4 units on sides and down 4 units with totals but lost some juice. Phillies comeback was huge plus Choo losing the ball in the sun and NY gets 3 with 2 outs.

Very rough. Not happy with him the last few days. If it were not for Basketball I would be way down. He was WAY off on most of those overs
