I second what Maleku said about Raptors since I'm from Toronto too. Tonight they looked very solid and the bench contributed immensely! Suddenly you have guys like Kleiza, Ameer Johnson (who I actually like and rate) among others play like All-stars!

Luckily, I recovered some of the loss with the Raptors -4 spread win but I'd put much more on the Turner bet than my own so it was still a loss.

In regards to his hockey puckline bets, I'm torn between playing and not playing ML! Tonight with Panthers winning but NOT by 2, is yet another example of what Joe was saying earlier about how it CAN be profitable to play ML. Shitty thing is when I was pling them, they were just getting the bets wrong and other team was taking it, now that I've stopped for past 6-7 games, 5 of them have been won by the team and so would've resulted in even more profit and not a loss on a night like this.

At the moment, St. Louis Blues are only leading by 1 as well. Hopefully they'll score more but if they win by 1, I might just start playing ML's again!

Maybe I will lay off Turner for a week. He has not been that good last couple of days

Damn! Another 1-0 win margin in hockey and it looks like we'll miss out on OKC under as well. Another 0-4 night!

So St. Louis Blues and Panthers BOTH win but by score of 1 and we all lose money except anyone out there who played Money Line on them as well (Maybe Joe?)

I think I'll start playing ML as well as PL from tomorrow because while he will miss some where the underdog wins, even logically, it makes sense. I mean if you're predicting that a team can win by 2 or more, then that means you're even more confident about them just winning (winning by 1) so why not bet on that? Obviously when you're wrong, then you're wrong but you would've lost the PL bet anyway and in cases like this, it's like a semi-insurance policy and of course when PL does hit, you're still winning both though of course in that instance, you could have earned more by investing all your money on higher odd PL.

So it's about being more conservative or more daring, still not sure what's best way to go. I'd guess that over the long run, it may be slightly in favour of playing BOTH ML and PL but it won't be a big difference in terms of $$ earned

Yep just BARELY missed the OKC Under as well.

Horrible night but we all knew it was coming. We've had two 0-4 nights now over the past few days.

Yep, couple of games came so close.

I am lost on what to do with the NHL as well but it could just be the hindsight effect working on me.

Still retaining a +10.8 unit profit so far in February after tonight going by Turners unit recommendations. Pretty sure flat bettors are in the same ball park as the units have not varied too much so far.

Best to just brush this one off fellas... it is a looooong marathon!

    Tomorrow is a new day.

Didn't he go 3-1 with two + odds NHL picks last night? Or was that another night? I could be wrong.

That was last night, true with SJ Sharkes hitting PL and Edmonton upsetting Blackhaws, But he went 0-4 like this the previous night I believe.

Well you're still much better off than rest of us tonight.

Is that what you always do Eric with the NHL picks? Play 0.5 unit on PL and 1 unit on ML?

PLF- That's interesting I'll run some numbers tomorrow maybe three weeks or so and see how things would have turned out playing both lines. There will always be a bit of variance with the lines constantly changing for NHL PL and ML but I'll keep everything as close as I can for the test. I should have something up before game time tomorrow. I'll drop it in with tomorrows plays.

And it looks like we're going to actually play a spread tomorrow in the NBA....crazy stuff

$73 is not THAT much for a $50 bettor, but if I can hit only 50% and still profit, I will take that for sure. Like we have discussed before and Maleku hit right on, we will have some downswings with these guys, and we just have to fight through them. Never easy going 0-4 (I also lost half bet on 2nd half Toronto under with that BS steal & layup with 8 seconds to go -- it was 94.5 and that made them score 95), but at least so far Turner has proven worthy of our time and energy. Tomorrow is a new day

    Yes it is!

@OneTime, thanks bud. That'd be nice!

IF you're trying to compare how we would have fared if we had played both ML and PL on his picks though (if that's what you meant by both lines, not sure I understood correclty), then I think Joe is already keeping track of that and might save you some work. He said it's not a big difference either way but yeah recently ML's would've been quite profitable in this recent streak. I'm sure Joe himself will show up tomorrow and clarify things more as he takes good stats and keeps on top/track of things.

p.s. Don't know if you saw it yet, but I already posted Turner's picks for Feb 4th. So use that thread.

I slowly ramped them up. I was going 1/1 for most of the time. We'll see how it turns out.
