Default Tom Stryker Kansas -8.0, 03/07

Tom Stryker -

"#566 KANSAS (-) over Texas at 4 PM EST
Even though Kansas will be the No. 1 seed when the Big 12 Tournament tips off next week, the Jayhawks certainly didn't play like it when they dropped an 84-65 decision at Texas Tech on Wednesday night. KU head coach Bill Self wasn't happy with his team's performance and he'll have Rock-Chalk-Jayhawk ready to roll in this Senior Night setting.

No one closes better than Kansas. Aside from the fact that the Jayhawks have won 40 straight in Allen Fieldhouse, KU has been a monster in last home games too. Kansas has won 25 consecutive final home games and they're not about to let Texas break either of those two awesome streaks.

Dating back to the start of the 2005 season, Kansas has been one of the best teams in college basketball posting a strong 119-22 SU and 74-52-3 ATS record. In this role matched up against an opponent that enters off a blowout win of 10 points or more, the Jayhawks improve to a bookie busting 24-11-1 ATS. Finally, with those two parameters combined and KU owning a won/loss percentage less than .860, this team trend explodes to a phenomenal 15-2 ATS! Kansas applies to all three pieces of this angle on Saturday afternoon.

As a guest battling a foe that owns a won/loss percentage greater than .750, Texas is a soft 14-25-2 ATS provided the Longhorns enter off a straight up win. Matched up against a Jayhawks defense that currently leads the Big 12 in field goal percentage (38.4) and rebound margin (+7.6), the 'Horns are going to be in trouble. Lay the lumber here men. Take Kansas. Thank you and best of luck, Tom Stryker."
