Chris Torresi -

NCAAB: Stanford Cardinals +6 vs. Arizona Wildcats

"It's a clash of Pac-10 teams as the Stanford Cardinals(17-11) hit the highway to face the Arizona Wildcats(18-12). Stanford comes in with back to back wins against Arizona State and USC. Arizona comes in on a four game losing streak.

Arizona has been a solid team all season until this late season collapse. Maybe it's the overall youth of the team? Three of the four games they lost were on the road. Stanford started this season 11-0 running through a soft non-conference schedule and than got blown out in their first Pac-10 game to ASU by 30. They followed up that game by beating the Wildcats by 16. It's been a crazy year in the Pac-10 in general with a lot of upsets and streaks with all teams having their ups and downs.

The Cardinals are 1-4 ATS in their last five road games but it is deceiving. Two of those four ATS losses they were favorites. They are actually a solid 4-2 ATS this year as road dogs. They just won in one of the hardest venues in the Pac-10 beating Arizona St. by 10 in Tempe. The Cardinals are 6-2 ATS in their last 8 road games vs a team with a winning home record.

Stanford has won the past four games in the series straight up and and is 3-1 ATS in those meetings. If Stanford can pull off another solid road win here that will be a nice boost to their resume for post season bids. It's senior day but there aren't any real role playing seniors on this young Arizona team. Stanford is a veteran team led by alot of seniors and they will be playing their hearts out today doing everything possible to try to get into the Tournament. This is a core of players who have Tournament and big game experience making it to the Sweet 16 last year being the nucleus surrounding the Lopez twins.

We like Stanford as a road dog today and will back them and take the points. Take Stanford+6.5"
