Here is a list of known loans to various posters and from whom. By no means is this a complete and full list but at least loans are in one post. If you know of others and have "proof", add to the thread.

I HIGHLY suggest that all loaners not give loans to anyone who has not been a member of SBR for at least 2-3 weeks. This should help to deter some of the less moral people here from just ghosting instead of paying up. I think if all the major loaners on this board adopt the same policy it will greatly help with the stiffing problem. ~ williams22

I agree this is very helpful. In addition to Williams' sentiment that we need to have uniform standards we should not be loaning out to someone w/ an existing loan as it undermines/dilutes any potential payment stream. This is untrue if the second loan includes an amount to "take out" the first loan.

Very good point. There are a few people here that give out many loans (TA, Thad, Boner, Mex, and I just to name a few), it would not be right to knowingly give out a second loan to someone who you know has a loan outstanding already.

How can anyone consider a line dtp got from sbr lines, a bogus line? Just b/c the book loses, does not mean this guy is a cheat. I was making NBA qt bets - 2nd qt. after the 1st ended, for example - and Mexi had no complaints at all about the wagers. Now, we are no longer allowed to make these wagers, when for the longest time, they were okay. It makes no sense. We are supposed to try to win. It's the whole point of gambling.

Cecil, you'll never see those points. I mean f\*\*k, icsky3 offered parlays, then when I won, never paid up, AAAND! kept the 5 points I used to wager. I know it's only 5 pts, and honestly, a drop in the bucket, but that is not the point. The point is, that a lot of people at this forum have no integrity. I didn't get paid 40pts, and I guarantee you won't see 145.

If this is from the credit shop, which I believe it to be true, none of transactions will be added until I think it was stated 48 hours for payments. I have no problem adding him to the list but will not mine that thread tonight. If people are owed/paid from it, tell them to make a note in the Credit Report so accurate records can be reflected. Hopefully you and others who won will be paid and those who lost will pay.

The point is that these lines, while on SBRodds, weren't open. They turn red after the start of the game, and you aren't able to bet them at any sports book because they are not updated to account for the play that has taken place.

the bookie saying it's ok to make this bet at this exact situation is clearly making sure it's ok.. how in the world can you disagree with that Williams22??

The lines were red, which means closed so they should not have been bet. Granted, Mex made a mistake. However, while it cannot be proven, if you knew that the lines were illegitimate and still bet them that's unethical, especially when it's at the detriment of a guy like Mex.

As for your name being here, I have nothing to do with that. You paid my loan in full.

If you are viewing this, take a look at the halftime sbr lines. I see some lines/totals/etc. are red, some are a peach color, and others are somewhat yellowish. I guess I don't know what the colors mean, to be honest. I'm sure I bet some 4th quarters after the end of the third, that may have been closed, but it wasn't in an effort to cheat Mexi, and I'm sure dtp wasn't try to cheat him either.

I'm pretty sure gray and white is open, red is closed, yellow is recently changed, and blue means the game is done. Someone can correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm fairly certain on those.

I disagree. I think Mex was under the impression you were betting a legitimate line and trusted you. Even if he said it was alright, if you knew it was a bad line and bet it anyways, I believe that's unethical. Mex lost a ton from those plays, so much so that it contributed to him having to lower his limits.

You have no idea how much time it takes to run a book on here. Mex and I don't have time to double-guess everyone on everything, so sometimes we have to have faith that people aren't out to get us. That means sometimes we trust that people won't try to bet closed lines.

Just my opinion.

for one i did not know it was a bad line, and especially after asking him if it was ok and him saying yes, i thought it was for sure ok.
and for mex losing 'a ton' on those plays that's just dumb.. i only had a total of 600 pts when this situation arose and i'm probably still down overall to mex or very close to even if anything..and i seriously doubt mex losing 400 pts to me in one day would cause him to lower his limits.
and really, do you seriously think this situation would merit you 'banning' me from your book dude? not that i have ever made a bet there anyways.
