I then simply took a pair of #1s from the top and then a pair of #1s from the bottom to make a group. Then took the next pair of #1s up top and then the next pair of #1s on the bottom to form the next group. This went on through the #4s. Hope that makes sense and seemed the fairest way to choose the groups.

THE RULES
1. Daily lines will be posted for this tournament by EaglesPhan36 ONLY or a replacement that will be announced ahead of time if I am unable to post lines on a given day. Any lines posted by someone other than EP36 or the announced replacement are not usable in this contest.

2. Lines will come from Pinnacle Sports and will be posted at approximately 10:00pm ET each night. Once the lines have been posted, those are the only lines that will be available for the date listed with the lines. In the case that Pinnacle Sports does not have a line available for a league or is late in posting them, BetPhoenix will be used as an alternate source.

3. For the purpose of our Golden Shoe Tournament, ONLY Brazil Serie A, English Premier, Italy Serie A, Spain Primera Division, Germany Bundesliga, France Ligue 1, Champions League, Europa League & World Cup matches will be used. If you pick a selection from a league not posted in the daily lines, it will not count towards your overall score.

4. Each player will be responsible for grading his own plays in each round. In the case of a discrepancy in scoring, EaglesPhan36 will be responsible for grading the scores in question and coming up with the correct score to resolve any disputes.

5. The MAXIMUM number of plays in a one week period (MONDAY-SUNDAY) is 21. Plays can be made on FULL MATCH moneylines ranging from -300 to +300, Asian Handicaps (+0.5, -1, etc.) and totals. All plus money plays, such as +150 will be considered "risking" 1 unit. For that sample play, you'd risk 1 unit to win 1.50 units, etc. All favorites plays, such as -150 will be considered "to win" one unit - in other words, risking 1.50 units to win 1 unit on that sample wager. The MINIMUM number of plays each week is 10. PLAYS CANNOT BE EDITED AFTER THEY ARE POSTED. A PICK CAN BE VOIDED PRE-MATCH IF YOU MAKE A POST PRIOR TO THE STARTING TIME OF THE MATCH. THE SBR POSTING TIME WILL BE THE OFFICIAL TIME IN ANY DISCREPANCIES WITH THIS.

6. In each week, you will be allowed THREE best bet wagers that will be for 2X the normal stakes. These are OPTIONAL. You can choose to make all your wagers for one unit if you so choose. Unless noted by the player, all wagers will be considered as ONE UNIT wagers (either risking 1 unit for dogs or "to win" one unit on favorites). You may mark a play as a "BEST BET" at any point up until the match begins. Once it has begun, all wagers stand with no changes.

GROUP STAGES
Each participant is in a group with three other competitors. For the Group Stages, it will be Round Robin style where you will play each competitor in your group once. A "match" will last for an entire week between players.

1. A player earns "three points" for winning their match. A win is determined by the competitor who has the most units earned for that match, NOT their win-loss record. If both players tie with the amount of units won for a match, it will end in a draw with both competitors earning "one point" in the standings.

2. When the Round Robin rounds (3) are complete, the top two point earners in each Group advance to the KNOCKOUT STAGES. In the event of a tie on the number of points, the competitor with the larger number of units won during the Group Stages advances in the first tie breaker. If a second tie breaker is needed, won-loss record will be used. The player with the better win percentage will advance. In case of a third tie breaker being needed, there will be a ONE MATCH playoff between competitors on the next available wagering day. Each competitor will be required to make two selections on that day with each wager considered a BEST BET for 2 units, either risking 2 on underdogs or "to win" 2 units on favorites. The competitor with the larger number of units won from that playoff will advance.

SUGGESTED PRIZE TABLE
With 32 entrants, we will have 800 SBR points up for grabs. Here is my suggested payout table for the contest. If there are enough people who wish for something different, this MAY change at my discretion.

Advancing to KO Round (16): WIN 10 points (160 total points)
Advancing to Quarterfinals (8): WIN 30 points (240 total points)
Advancing to Semifinals (4): WIN 50 points (200 total points)
Runner-Up (1): WIN 75 points
Champion (1): WIN 125 points

RULES & THE FORMAT FOR THE KNOCKOUT ROUNDS WILL BE FORMULATED WHILE THE GROUP STAGES TAKE PLACE, SO THEY WILL BE POSTED BY THE TIME THE FIRST "MATCHES" TAKE PLACE IN THOSE ROUNDS.
