Hey Patty you know the bucos have no chance to win tomorrow right?

Anytime someone posts an offer to wager willing to accept lower odds than the true line, Yisman is always first on line to take the action. Its pretty funny.

Pattymayo, the fair line on the Pirates is +260 so you deserve 65 points for your 25 point wager on the Pirates.

Even asking for 60 points (as opposed to 50) would be giving the other side -240 on the Cubs which is still a fantastic bet for them.

I would have gladly placed the wager with you and given you 60 points for the 25 point bet.

Unfortunately, it appears you placed the wager with Yisman at a really bad line for you so I'm not surprised he offered to bet more on the game at the reduced odds he had to lay.

I hope the Pirates win the game as I hate to see people get taken advantage of by sharks.

    Good luck.

    Why?

And kind of like Pair of 5's Sir, I employ the contrarian point of view to most of my picks. I like the odds.

False. I usually miss out on such opportunities. I was surprised I actually had the chance to make a bet here, because it usually happens that I'm too late and one or two people already took the offer. I bet you can't find more than a handful of times where I actually got such a line.

How am I taking advantage of someone? He made an offer and I accepted it.

Are you taking advantage of people at Matchbook or betting exchanges when you accept their offers? After all, if you didn't think the fair line was something better, you wouldn't take the deal.

I think the fair line is approximately -230/+230, so when I saw an offer that gave me -200, I was quick to jump on it.

How that is "taking advantage" of someone, I don't know.

Finally, I'm actually down some points from betting with other posters, so if I'm taking advantage of people, I guess I'm not doing a very good job. I've earned approximately a thousand points from SBR and from posters giving me points for good posts. I've never bought anything from the store. Do the math.

I'm glad, because I wouldn't want to bet with anyone who felt he was being taken advantage of.

Pattymayo, I can't accept a wager laying 60 to 25 when you already agreed to a wager with someone else who is only laying 50 to 25.

If you're willing to place the bet under the same 50 to 25 terms as you did with Yisman, we have action. If not, I certainly understand and we have NO ACTION.

If I don't hear back from you, I'll assume we have no action.

Yisman, on several occassions, I have seen posters wanting to make wagers at incorrect lines and I've seen your name countless times wanting the action.

Since the whole concept of gambling is to try and place bets with positive expectation, theres certainly nothing wrong with trying to get in on it but we both know you're getting by far the best of it betting the Cubs at -200.

By the way, since you mentioned Matchbook, I assume you checked the line there so you know the line isn't -230/+230 as you mentioned in your post.

    Current line @ Matchbook:

    Pittsburgh (Morton) at Chicago (N) (Lilly)Sep 30 2:05 pm
    Pittsburgh
    +250$120

    Chicago (N)
    -278$30

    -280

Pattymayo, since I didn't hear back from you about the 50 to 25, we have NO ACTION on the game.

First you say "several occassions", and then you say "countless times". You are simply wrong.

By the way, since you mentioned Matchbook, I assume you checked the line there so you know the line isn't -230/+230 as you mentioned in your post.
No, I didn't check the line there, and you obviously misread my post. I said the fair value to me is about -230/+230, not that Matchbook's line is -230/+230.

Also, why are you trying to take advantage of patty?
