Ok guests meant ghosts, it was a code word he used with his staff, so I had to think of new names and make a few posts each week. We all would have a conference call on Sunday Nights and kenny would run the meeting and basically rip into us if he was coked up. MoFo would be in the backround cheering Kenny on and also jumping in and slamming us. Kenny would say we need "Greek" and make the site look really busy with guests and praise Greek with these guests. I was not paid my last month $400 because I did not create enough ghosts and one advertisers found out his scheme and dropped EOG. Boys this is all true.

This dead horse is kindof catching a foul odor. My parting point is something to think about no matter what you do or inspire to do.

There are no shortcuts and no substitute for hard work. The EOG this time last year had 2x the traffic of this forum. Today they are forced to hire posters just to try to stay even with SBR. They have lost -59% of their traffic compared to a gain of +160% for SBR in the past 12 months alone(see compete.com). While they exaggerated traffic with their public counters, promoted porn, crapbooks and hired posters to look busy we kept working hard to offer better amenities, nicer forum layout, BeatThePrick contests. We also added better capping information such as free live lines and game write-ups. We will continue to prove that giving you players value and resources through hard work and investment will always trump shortcuts and trickery.

1-ADMITTING to GHOSTING is DISHONEST (even if only one) when you criticize others of the same behavior.

2-You point the finger at EOG for paying posters as if it is a BAD thing, yet you also PAY POSTERS...

3-You have absolutely NO RIGHT to tell EOG how to go about running our posting forum...

4-I don't believe you are "RETIRED," so you might want to drop that misleading label if your goal is to come across as CREDIBLE...

I didn't know what therx was or eog or the shrink. i had one home and never looked elsewhere until dirtman went to eog. jj continues to make up reality because the one he actually lives in is not nearly as spectacular.



as for this sbr/eog stuff. Both sites have great people, both sites have some assbags; the good heavily outweighs the bad at each; and a lot of the good posters show up at each place. The focus should, 100% of the time, be on treating people well, making the board entertaining, being honest, offering everything you've got, and trying to improve. Simple as that.

JJ, I know a lot of the things you post are not real and you like to mix it up alot. I think a lot of people have trouble sifting through whats true and what isn't(about 10% true I think).
But I have gotten to know your writing style the last couple of months and I know you are telling the truth about this. I just hope everyone else sees it too. It's tough to get a point across when you are 'crying wolf' all the time, but all the pieces to this story fit. Thanks for being so forthright.

Thanks Shooter, Shrink is a fraud, I have said this way back and will continue to say it . I feel sorry for regular posters at EOG when Shrink promotes bad books. The mods also get a kickback for player referrals and in some cases percentage on loses which is highly illegal in the USA. Dirty and General quit because of this.

I'm probably going to get bitched at for bumping an old thread, but damn this stuff is interesting.

When I first stumbled across SBR, I thought it was a casual place where people got together and tossed around sports betting ideas. Man, was I wrong. It's like there is a whole society of forum "lifers" out there. Some people make thousands of posts, year after year, across many different forums using the same nickname. I understand those of you that have a financial interest in the success of the forum, and I understand the people who have racked up a lot of posts actually discussing gambling, but what about you other guys? What drives you to make tens of thousands of posts across multiple forums for so many years? Do you have social lives outside gambling forums? Do you feel like you make real connections and satisfying relationships with people? What keeps you coming back?

I'm don't want to come across as judging anyone, I really don't. I've just always been interested in human behavior from a sociological perspective, and this has really piqued my curiosity.
