I suppose this is true. Personally I have never met any Religious/Agnostics but I'm sure there are some that exist. The more I think about it, I should have never had Atheist/Agnostic as an option. I should have used either NONE or Non-Believer. This is my first Poll. My next one will be better! Thanks for all the responses!

The US is about 75% Christian and climbing with the immigrants from Mexico, who are about 90% Christian, being the fastest growing race in the US.

God bless the USA, I am a proud Christian and am very glad our neighbors from the south are Christians as well. Welcome to America Mexicans!

There are varying levels of intensities for belief within religions too. There's generally an appreciable difference between a casual and devout follower of a given religion. Casual-practicing Muslims don't blow people up.

Jews are the best at makin money (monopolies/collusion/rigging etc) and in a capitalist economy that means they run the show especially when they monopolize the media as well and being the richest group does tend to lead to being the smartest group, you could be the smartest guy on earth in Bangladesh and ur gonna starve to death but if you're fairly intelligent and your parents send ya to the best schools in the country you're going to come out brighter than average

yes you can be agnostic and atheist

Agnostic atheism, also called atheistic agnosticism, encompasses atheism and agnosticism.[1] Agnostic atheists are atheistic because they do not have belief in the existence of any deity, and agnostic because they do not claim to know that a deity does not exist.[1][2] The agnostic atheist may be contrasted with the agnostic theist, who does believe that one or more deities exist but does not claim to have knowledge of such.[1]
Individuals who identify as agnostic atheists may justify their position by reference to epistemology, theory of justification or Occam's razor.[citation needed]

    It should read no religion.

Sharp post, wikipedia has "no religious identification" as moving from 8% of US pop in 1990 to 16.1% in 2008, pretty amazing its more than doubled in the past 18 years

    I didn't say Christianity is a race.

You are right, my estimate was too low, its actually a bit higher according to most sources.

And how can Christianity be on the decline if the fastest growing group of people in the country (Mexicans) are 90% Christian?

practicing and identifying are two different things, you think 80% of this country attends church weekly? i doubt its even half that.

no way, especially not when its pigskin season.

I would expect them to be what they are, which is Christian.

What doesn't make sense to you?

I attend protestant churches, but i consider myself just a Christian. Protestant, Catholic, it doesn't matter, all that matters is that I believe in Jesus Christ as God, he died for my sins, and rose from the dead to become one with God the Father. So that makes me a Christian.

You are a Christian if you believe in Jesus. It doesn't matter whether you attend church or not. Attending church is not a requirement for being a Christian.

No way 80% attend church weekly. But yes, between 75 and 80% are Christian, look at all the sources available.

Just want to add that I'm glad to be away from organized religion.

My mother is religious, I had to attend Sunday School when I was a kid. Not many kids attending that church were crammed in that little room on Sunday. Man I hated that. I rebelled at a young age, think I was 10 when I stopped attending church.
