I know - there are million angles to approach that question from, but here's where I'm coming from today.

When Anne Bancroft played Mrs. Robinson in The Graduate, she was 36 years old. That was about 40 years ago.



Now compare her to similar prominent 36 year old actresses of the current day. It seems to me like something is going on with women.

Maybe it's just me but women are getting seriously better looking.

And from what I have seen, that picture actually flatters her.



I am not saying Anne Bancroft is ugly or anything. I would do Mrs. Robinson. But it is a different kind of wanting-to-do-her than Jennifer Aniston. It is not a she's-hot-I-want-to-do-her. It's more of a wouldn't-it-be-interesting-to-do-my-friend's-mom?-want-to-do-her.

I hear they are thinking of remaking The Graduate. I wonder who the MILF would be.

They must have had Bancroft wear no or little makeup. By doing that, they made her look much older than a "done up" 36 or even 40.

Most of these celebrities now, will never be seen in public without makeup. Makes a huge difference.

And lifestyle may factor in. Bancroft looks like a smoker to me.

When you strip it all down, it's still just a skeleton. I like doing that. Watching the skeletons inside move and groove.

And style. Can you imagine a current hot actress pushing 40 dressing like Mrs. Robinson? Everyone would assume it was a joke.

Not just clothes, but women of today have freed their hair which is a good thing IMO.
