STATELINE, Nev. -- Former NBA All-Star Antoine Walker has been arrested on criminal charges stemming from $822,500 in gambling debts in Las Vegas.

Douglas County sheriff's Sgt. Jim Halsey says Walker was arrested Thursday at a Harrah's Tahoe cabaret bar on Lake Tahoe's south shore.
Deputies were notified of his presence by an employee who had seen a television report about an arrest warrant issued for Walker two days before.
Walker is accused of three felony counts of writing bad checks. Clark County prosecutors say he failed to make good on 10 checks totaling $1 million to Caesars Palace, Planet Hollywood and the Red Rock Resort.
Walker has repaid $178,000 of the debts that were incurred from last July to January.
Walker was released from jail after posting $135,000 cash bail.

You need to do your homework. You 're forgetting about a whole lot of athletes in different sports and different parts of the world. It may be that 90% of blacks play the sports that YOU concentrate on, but the number is extremely the vice versa when you start looking at hockey, Austrailian Rules football, soccer, cycling, jockeying, race car driving, etc numbers all over the world. That's gonna take a lot of work, Chi_archie because as crazy as it seems, after traveling in Europe I am certain that there are guys from other nationalities that are stars that make way more than the average NBA players, and that includes the game of basketball in Europe. You have mega stars playing soccer in places far and wide. The NBA and NFL are bigger in expoure here in America, but panoramically soccer is much bigger worldwide. FIFA is the shit! And so you have a whole globe full of superstars. Some get into financial trouble, some murder, some get caught selling dope, some admit to taking dope or performance enhancing drugs and pedaling up hills. Whatever. The few 700 or so Black guys making that kind of money in the various American sports are on the small end of the ratio both in number and in terms of worldwide incidents or financial problems collectively.

Media types make it look the reverse of what is true in all aspects of reporting. Imagine how you're being described in a hut of a rural third world island family that has never had electricity in their village. It's like although you're White and you walk toward them with offerings in the air, you're still gonna get the arrows if you ain't carryin' a big camera.
