Dallas Cowboys -ever since I was little - and I don't live anywhere near Texas. How about you IMGV?

That's a good title for a thread anyway! What's your favorite team - I mean.

New England will be my top play followed by Seattle in the NFL. Reasoning: NE smoked everyone in the preseason, they're at home, they traditionally smoke Buffalo, Brady is on a mission this year to get better, Buffalo sucks.

Seattle: Simply the better team, Detroit hasn't shown me anything for years I don't see them staying within a TD of Seattle.

Honorable mention the Eagles and Browns.

I forgot to ask if you've gotten your bankroll up to the point where you'd like it yet. NYY is still looking good to make playoffs and beyond.

Be careful with New England, This is a division matchup and the Bills will take this seriously. Marv Levy might have something up his sleeve..

Good Luck..

Hey imgv...thanks for helping me out (I think).

I don't follow the NFL as religiously as I once did but my favourite team would have to be Green Bay. I was fanatical about them when I was in high-school but I gave up on the NFL for several years because it became boring to me for whatever reason.

I follow the CFL pretty closely but this year everyone agrees its been horribly boring to watch and my fav team there is 2-9 so far so I bought my super sports pack and I'm ready to make some NFL money this year. I'm keeping my unit size very small until I see if I can return to the success I had 15 years ago.

This weekend is the labour day rematch games in the CFL. The only one I would lay money on is Toronto -13 over Hamilton. Hamilton is a team in complete disarray. They made so many positive moves in the off-season but failed to come together. They aren't even in the same league as the other 7 teams right now. Toronto hammered them last weekend something like 40-6 and today in Toronto its likely to be just as ugly.

My only reservation about this game is that Hamilton's defense is the only bright spot on the team and Toronto has ocassional trouble scoring points. Today John Avery should be back from injury however so I'm taking Toronto -13.

Well sorry about that one IMG. That was one of the worst football games I have ever seen. 9 combined turnovers and not a single touchdown scored. John Avery wasn't back from injury as I had thought and both offences looked like they couldn't put up points on a high school defence.

I don't know what is going on in the CFL this year. The offensive output of most teams is way down. I don't often play totals but I bet the unders are cashing at a good rate this season.

If it makes you feel any better though...I lost money on it too. Although only one unit.

CFL is boring this year because they killed the kick and punt return aspects of the game. Every play there is a no yards call or illegal block just an inch to the side.

Remember guys like Gizmo Williams and Pinball Clemons and what's that current Argos guy name starts with B I think, he was fun to watch previous years. This year games are too lopsided and teams are only winning at the expense of the other teams untimely key injuries.

Anyways my favourite NFL team is the Dallas Cowboys when they had Moose Johnson. Since Dat Nguyen retired, I need a new NFL team. Buffalo sucks. No team seems to have a good running back. Only good O-linesman. I guess Buffalo is my NFL team only because they are closest to me.

catch ...

I missed this one but you are exactly right. The kick/punt return game was always one of the best parts of the CFL rulebook but they have really killed it with their enforcement. The worst part of the CFL was always the officiating anyway.

But beyond that it seems like there is a lack of quality quarterbacks this year. Ray doesn't look like his old self, Joseph is overrated, as is Glenn in wpg. Damon Allen has never been consistant and Calvillo in mtl has looked bad also.
