There have been so many over the years that it's hard to remember them all.One that comes to mind is Mussberger where when Jimmy the Greek paid actual compliments to black athletes Mussberger went out of his way to bash and condemn him as to curry favor with the PC crowd that CBS cow tows too.

Another was Chris Collinsworth when Limbaugh got fired for bashing Mc Nab.Collinsworth was almost crying on t.v.going on and on putting on a production worthy of an academy award about civil rights etc.

Then you have these sportscasters fawning all over Danica Patrick who's just an accident waiting to happen bragging her up to the hilt and you have them crying about women not being allowed to become members at Augusta and Monica Sorenstam not being able to play on the men's tour.Then when they do put these women in a men's PGA event it's always a taylor made short yardage course where they finish in front of a few guys who had bad backs and off weeks and make them feel like crap because they got beat by a woman so the PC bunch can say women are just as good.

I could write volumes on all this political correct crap that infiltrates sports over the airwaves.

Then you had Casey Martin the handicapped golfer who filed a lawsuit demanding he be able to use a cart in a tournament.Why not have a goalie that's older with a bad back be given a chair to sit in when the puck is in the opposite end of the rink or give an old outfielder a chair to sit in.It's like a scene right out of Seinfeld where George gave the store security cop a chair to sit in and he fell asleep during a robbery.I can just hear the play by play guy saying a player is injured because he got tripped up by the chair.

Everything these days in sports turns into a lecture or preaching spiel on equality and civil rights and you just want to watch the damn game and not be aware of the history of persecution and plights.

Sports is just a part of a bigger picture of society in whole. Society is getting pretty PC to the point that public airwaves are unlistenable due to FCC restrictions or just fear of the FCC dropping the arbitrary hammer. Hell, with the new 911 rules, the news is probably sanitized for our protection beyond all recognition. Who knows what's 'really' going on in the rest of the world. The nightly news is more like an infomercial than it's ever been. There's no sanitizing us from being whores to corporate greed.

Sports has always been a refuge from bullshit for me, because it's all about what happens between the lines that matters. Ten years ago, ESPN was sharp, edgy and fun to watch with all of the riffing and banter. Now, those guys seem old, boring and probably sanitized for our protection as well. Right now, there's few sports programs that are watchable for me, besides actual play. Even then, I often turn the sound off. Am I alone?

Down with big government. Down with corporate bullying. Down with censorship. Power to the people. We are the ones that are supposed to matter in this world.
