No iwin
only ones i know for a fact are TTwarriors in 93 94 95 98 2000 03 05 09
The thing is if you always pick the better teams you will lose because of upsets. If you just pick some crazy bracket you will lose because a lot of your crazy picks won't happen. If you are some espn analyst you say that so and so team is a bad match up for so and so higher seeded team but upsets happen.
Almost impossible to hit the first round perfect let alone the whole bracket
Yup.
Some kid from Nebraska had a perfect bracket a few yrs ago and won 1million.
A few years ago there were almost no upsets in the first round or two. This Asian guy I worked with thought he was so smart because he was in the lead. I don't think he picked a single upset. I hate people like that.
When sponsors put up a million bucks for a perfect bracket, they know the odds are as bad as the lottery.
Begs the question, whats the biggest parlay ever hit, in terms of teams, not money won. 30 team? 50 team?
Thats a great question.
You would think atleast once someone had too.
but i wonder what is the biggest parlay hit ever recorded?
I'm sure some dumbass who filled out 100 brackets had a perfect one.
Ive only heard stories of 6 figure parlays idk about the most teams ever.
As has been mentioned, TT warrior has filled out a perfect bracket every year since the field expanded to 64 teams. That is, up until a few years ago - where he decided to call it quits, and now only trains others in the the mystical art of bracket perfection.
There are so many goddamn brackets submitted it happens every now and then.
Some people listed ones above but I specifically remember a girl doing it one year. The teams she didn't know about she picked based on totally arbitrary shit like favorite jersey color or cooler sounding name.
Check out this ridiculous promotion from 5Dimes that basically admits this is impossible :lmao:
- Any player who guesses all 63 games correct will receive a BONUS of $10,000,000
There is no recorded document like the above poster put its like 1 in 9.2 quintillion. The autistic kid had the first 2 rounds perfect which I think I read the odds at 1 in like 13 million of doing that. He had Purdue winning it all on his bracket so we know he didn't have a perfect bracket.
whats the odds ?
Guess I was wrong and no one has officially done it.
1vs16 108-0
2vs15 104-4
3vs14 92-16
4vs13 85-23
etc.... Odds are nowhere near 1 in 9.2 quintillion. That may be true to flip heads 63 times in a row with a fair coin but not in sports.
id put fair odds around 1 in every 50-75 SBR brackets being perfect
Only one i read n heard about was a few years ago when all 4 no. 1 seeds made the final four.
There was 1 person who was perfect up till then but he had UCLA winning it all and they lost in the semis.
There are no documented cases of anyone ever filling out a perfect bracket. And it might not happen for a long, long time. According to DePaul math professor Jeff Bergen, the odds of someone without any basketball knowledge randomly picking teams and filling out a perfect bracket are 9.2 quintillion to one. If you have some basketball knowledge the odds are still not in your favor - 128 billion to one. In 2012, Fox Sports offered $1 million to anyone who filled out a perfect bracket.
You have a better chance of getting hit by lightning and winning the lottery in the same day.
-ESPN, NBC, and FOX sources
5dimes promotion says all that I needed to hear about a perfect bracket. Makes the lottery look like a trip to the state fair. Doable after a few tries.
Good luck getting paid with the perfect bracket.
Odds of that are even greater. lol
no1 has ever done it
heard on the radio this morning actually that a professor from MIT said is was worse than a 10 quintillion to 1 odds to pick every game perfect...
:lmao:
exactly why all these books and other companies can offer whatever amount of money they want to for a perfect bracket...because its impossible
Speaking of doing a bracket...do the games tomorrow and wednesday count towards it or starting on thursday?
I guess I'll sponsor a perfect bracket with my 4000+ points. I won't have to pay out anything plus I'll get free publicity like 5dimes, heritagesports, bovada, etc.
First games are play in games....and NIT starts soon also
I've been running a pool for the last 25 years that generally pays the top four or five finishers. One year I had a guy . . . God rest his soul . . . go a perfect 32-0 on the first two days . . . and he finished OUT of the money.
