thanks, pal, appreciate your posting that. that's not great news, but not terrible. i classify Cowboy Joe West as a mild over ump, nowhere near the likes of McClelland or T Welke or Holbrook.

Like the Stros under also Biff, though 5D was juicing. Old man Moyer ought to be tricking the youngsters who have never seen him and Stros rookie had good #s in spring though seems to have control issues, while in minors last year. Let's get it today.
exactly, i like crafty Moyer with Barksdale's generous zone against inexperienced youngsters. so long as he doesn't let Carlos "Booger" Lee hurt him, i think he can navigate the rest of the lineup. looking forward to watching the match-up with Harrell, i remember Harrell's start vs Greinke last September, he had some impressive moments. BOL to you today, pal.

Hey biff. Like the plays. Wondering why the under of stros and rox. Got Moyer and a rookie debuting. I know the offenses are bleak but they can't score double digit runs?
Been waiting and waiting for Morrow to get the results that his ability suggests he should. Jimenez has been struggling with his command big time, weather a factor in Cleveland today?
Moyer, what a story, certainly is very plausible the way you guys outline him frustrating the youngsters.
Only one I differ with is the Braves. I am a Muts fan and fade them more often than I play them. I like Dickey to keep them in the game as he always seems to, and I think Jurrjens is one of the biggest regression candidates for this season. That being said, Braves always seem to have our number.....GL Bro.
:hombre:
thanks, pal. ump is a major factor in COL/HOU under. Barksdale is one of my top 5 or so under umps. a generous strike zone is going to let Moyer operate around the edges, which he needs to be effective. and while Harrell is a rookie, he had 3 starts and pitched in 5 other games last season, so it's not as if this is his major league debut. i love unders, and Houston's lineup could put up 2 or less runs on pretty much anyone, so i see a fair amount of value on under 9, esp early in the season. watched the Rockies/Astros game last night and Houston's lineup struggled (other than Carlos Lee), i think that they likely will again. my biggest concern is actually the crappy Astros defense, which could be rough on a young pitcher's confidence. BOL to you.
LM supporting your Braves play.
it's chilly but very sunny and almost no wind today in Cleveland. much better hitting conditions that Thursday. Jimenez in poor form, Morrow poor history vs Tribe, both SPs poor history with Carlson as ump.
i hear you on the SP history in Braves/Mets. if this were an 80 humid degree day with little wind, no way would i be fading Dickey here, but it's going to be cool and very windy today, and that can be murder on a knuckleballer. BOL today, Redscot, one of us will walk away from this one happy.

that will do it until tonight. have a couple of later leans (Padres, M's/A's under among others), but hitting driving range now before Tribe game. BOL to all today.
Fyi did some research on knucklers while back, apparently they love wind in their face, blowing out. And don't like wind blowing in...so not sure on the Shea wind direction today.
Well an extra inning over is always nice. Right now though (and I know it's only 2 games) - could be a long season for your Indians.
Might have to eat those words at some point!
