waste of money, just like carroll

Guys, what is going on in football these days??!! This kid would have been £5m at most 5 years ago. £20m is just a crazy number, surely the youth academy can find these kids at a 50th of the price.
12m+N'Gog
More signings to come. Hearing a total of 8 signings. The Reds are coming up the hill!
I'll miss Ngog, you can say what you like but he did get as out of a few jams.
I have no clue how Henderson can be worth £20m while Man Utd is close to sign Ashley Young for £16m
Linked with Adam and Downing too. I like that Kenny is going after British players. Too many foreigners under previous management.
Way overpriced this guy.
Unless they stick him in right midfield, he won't even be a regular.
There are plenty of other better players they could have got with that money plus i thought they were gonna buy some wingers for carroll?
any way, should be a great season next year with man utd, chelsea, man city, spurs and liverpool all fightng it out for champions league football. I think spurs and arsenal are most likely too miss out if arsene doesnt spend!!
Average player.
Jones was a much better signing for United.
the guy is not that bad
Liverpool will take it this year, or Chelsea .. remember my words
20m :+clueless not worth it
20 million is way too much but then again so.is 16 million for Phil Jones. .. everyone is getting so overpriced. ... a few years ago these guys woulda been sub 10 million signings
Last year, we would be spending £20m on interest payments for our debt. This year, we're spending that on young talent. Can't complain.
Also, we're after Downing, Wickham, Enrique, Adam, Dann. Missing out on Jones was a massive blow, but if a lad prefers another club over your's, then he wasn't the right player to buy in the first place.
We're going to get all these British transfers (about 5/6 of them done) in this month, and once the European transfer market opens on July 1st, we'll concentrate fully on European exploits.
Finally a decent aquisition. I'm happy for Liverpool they deserve a player of this calibre.
Although Liverpool might of overpaid a little for Henderson, I do think he will help them and will turn out to be a good signing.
this will be liverpool's year
Liverpool will be a top 3 team this year imo...
Don't have a strong opinion!!! Liverpool :+clueless
20 million is a farce, no way this kid is worth that, but if they want to pay it then good luck.
really like liverpool under king kenny
Henderson is not the kind of player who will bring the Premiership to Liverpool. Not next season for sure.
too much money again....Liverpool goona see bankrupt if results not coming..
Yup King Kenny will spend ok - will he get the job done :+clueless NO !!!!!
Will be interesting to see the "King Kenny" effect next season, sure he looked great after Hodgson but slow horses look fast running past trees and the new season will be a different prospect. Kenny didnt have much pressure on him, he was really brought in to set the ship straight, which he did well for sure. This time out he is expected to get into the top four at the very least. To be honest I thought Liverpool would finish top four this season, Man City always look one tantrum away from a meltdown.
Fresh players, like Henderson - even if overpriced, should help Kenny create as he wants and then we will see if he can really build a successful team.
wat did henderson do to make him worth 20 mill?
sunderland were awful last year.
man u and chelsea shouldnt be scared of this, henderson is average at best
Sunderland had countless injuries for the second half of the season, they were without any strikers at one stage so you can cut them a little slack. Henderson is average at best? What are you basing this on, please tell me? May be 20 million is over priced but it's not 20 million spent on an average player.
Ok if he is great tell me what he has ever done?
scored loads of goals? no
skillfull? no
played in the champions league? no
played at the world cup? no
played well for england? no
sunderland did have injuries and he still didnt stand out if he is that great, and he is average, very average as there are loads more players in the epl better than him.
listen if he was that good then the big guns would have been in for him, man u, chelsea, barca, real etc...
just please can you explain to me what this boy has done to be classed better than average??? cause id love to hear it,
What kind of player, that Barcelona, Real Madrid, Chelsea etc. will chase that would cost 20m? Chelsea and Man City have inflated the transfer market and you have to pay over the top prices now.
Looking back, does Torres at 50m look a good buy? Henderson can either be a failure, a decent buy or a brilliant buy. The future will determine that. What if he turns out to be the next Stevie G? 20m would be a bargain then.
i dont care if he is overpriced two, three or even ten times!!!
all i care is this time, owner support manager fully and follow up on transaction discussion on time unlike previous one.
don't know if I like this move completely for them But maybe it will work out
If he fails, it will be a 20m failure. If he has an impact like Suarez, 20m will be a steal. Time will determine that.
Just going to have faith in Kenny, Clarke and Commolli. Last year, we would be paying 20m in interest and barely buying. Time for a new era under John Henry and King Kenny.
now they are after roger johnson
