... wasn't it like a 20 min speech ... he probably ran out of space to write the whole thing on his hands ...

I just wish we lived in a world where it wasn't ludicrous to believe that our elected officials should write their own speeches and speak from the heart. That's what real leaders do.

Obama looked stiff, out of place. He is not very good at reading a teleprompter straight on.

When you've lost Chris Mathews, its all over. Good riddance Jimmy Carter II.

Funny, he didn't need a teleprompter to make Mike Pence and company look like complete jackasses a few months ago...how soon we forget these things. I mean it was so bad that faux news had to quit covering it right in the middle...

LOL - no kidding. Can you imagine Palin agreeing to 3 debates in 2012? I think not.

One debate is more than plenty as they say (now) in Arizona.

Obama will be a laughing stock when he debates in 2012. Whats he going to say, Its Bush's fault? Or, forget what I said 4 years ago, this time I'm telling the truth.

Sometimes to win a debate - you simply have to stand there, say nothing, and let the other person bury him/herself.

Please put Palin on the ticket.

Regardless of political conviction, is there anybody here who thinks the maverick soccermom is more intelligent than Obama?

... I'd more than welcome any ticket with the Palin show on board.

Her political beliefs are FAR MORE INTELLIGENT than that of Barack Obama and our country would run far more efficiently if she was in the White House as opposed to him.

With that being said, Sarah Palin turns off independent voters so it would be a big mistake if the republicans put her on the ticket in 2012. She should be the chairperson of the republican national committee.

When you get past all of the B.S., one cold, hard fact remains:
Obama's popularity and approval ratings have PLUMMETED since he has been in office. The citizens of the U.S. have made it crystal clear that they do NOT agree with the policies of Barack Obama or the democratic party.

They will roar from the ballot box in November and the democrats will NOT be pleased with the results.

What he needs to do is declare war on someone ... that's the only way Bush was able to get his approval ratings up after his initial slump. Obama is running right on par with Republican darling Reagan at this point in his presidency.

On a side note - its very interesting to note that 80% of Democrats still approve of the job he is doing .. and ... lets face it - if he has the Dems on-board ... it won't really matter what the Republicans think come 2012.

Once again, instead of focusing on Obama, his supporters can only deflect the conversation by bringing up Bush and even Ronald Reagan.

80% is an ASTONISHING low number when you consider that the vast majority of democrats will support their own no matter how poorly of a job they do.

If 20% of democrats have indeed left the Obama camp, then his problems are even more serious than I originally thought.

Not really - comparing presidential job approval ratings from one to the next is the only way to put the numbers into perspective ... How else would we know if 43% was good or bad?

20% have not left .. 10% have ... (Democratic approval was only 90% at the outset - its only Republican party members that follow leadership blindly it would appear .. Democrats seem to have half a brain in their head and seem to make more of a judgement based on performance rather than blindly follow or hate) ... which again - is pretty much in-line with all other presidents at this point in their presidency - statistics are great - you can prove or disprove anything with them ...

Barry Soetoro may be smarter than Palin in a classroom but we are talking real world here. Obama has proven without a shadow of a doubt he is a clueless incompetent as president.

    Should we be surprised?

Apparently he has only proved this to Republicans .. as Democrats think he is doing just fine - thank-you very much.

Not all Democrats. There are a lot of congressmen distancing themselves afraid connection to Obama will cost them re-election.

Have you seen some of these Democratic politician TV ads running for re-election? Its anti-Obama. Can you blame them? If they ran on their record that they supported Obama, their political careers would be over.

Its going to be a bloodbath for the Dems in 2010. In 2012, Obama gets to walk the plank.

The real world? Quitting the governorship to become a FOX News anchor and be on a reality show isn't the "real world." She couldn't handle a job that actually takes accountability and responsibility.

Maybe, we thought the same about Clinton after 1994, although Clinton moved to the right, which I doubt Obama will do.
