I'll take a politician who can do the work of the people over someone who reads bedtime stories from a teleprompter to his children all the time. Then again....I'm not from Arizona so I'll just congratulate her on the fact that even though she f;d up the debate...the other side has no one strong enough to challenge her.

She's wrong for the lie...I didn't hear about it until now. But overall I back her due to the immigration views...and again..I'm not in Arizona so doesn't really matter if I support her or not....just in principle I suppose.

Not a great showing in what looked like easy thing to do. She should have/would have been coached for an opening statement like that. She's gonna win anyway though.

If given the choice of a politician who can deliver a great speech but has no substance (i.e. Barack Obama) as opposed to someone who isn't so great in front of a microphone but has tremendous character and intelligence, I'll take the latter every day of the week and 2X on Sundays.
Jan Brewer had the courage to actually do something about the illegal immigration problem that is choking the life blood out of our country.
Unfortunately, Barack Obama only wants to make the problem worse and worse by blocking the recently passed Arizona legislation as he knows these illegals will have boatloads of children who will eventually turn out and vote democratic.
Jan Brewer is the governor of Arizona.
BlueHorseShoe, what have you ever accomplished in your life that even comes close?

What have I accomplished? I invented a vaccine for Polio. My real name is Jonas Salk. WTF is the difference what I've done???? One thing I didn't do is go into politics because I'm not sure if I'm qualified. This woman did go into politics, HAS BEEN Governor and still freezes on stage like she's in 5th grade History class. She also can't answer a simple question where she's obviously been caught in a major lie.
How the F*ck can you say she has tremendous character when she got caught in an obvious lie like she did??????

"Knowing that my father died fighting the Nazi regime in Germany, that I lost him when I was 11 because of that... and then to have them call me Hitler's daughter. It hurts. It's ugliness beyond anything I've ever experienced," Brewer said in the story, published Tuesday.
Officials with the governor's administration said her statement should not be taken to mean that she was claiming her father was a soldier in Germany during the Nazi regime.

Like you wrote, it has nothing to do with party lines. The woman is not worthy of the job. I'm all for Immigration reform and protecting the borders, but this person isn't helping the cause.
I didn't dislike G.W.B. because he was Republican, (I voted for his father) I disliked him because he was incompetent. Everything isn't down party lines.

Still not sure why anyone who IS NOT an Arizona citizen is still commenting here. But, if we are just going to attack elected officials from other states...why not go after Rep Bernice Johnson for her scam that cost us all money....giving her family scholarships from tax payer money and then claiming "I didn't know the rules" when it clearly states on the paper to declare if you are in anyway related to the person who offered the public funding. THERE is a character flaw and a direct link to your money being wasted.
