    more on chickenhawk cheney

Jesse Ventura -- former pro-wrestler, Minnesota governor, Navy SEAL -- says that he's ashamed that the US government waterboarded its prisoners, and says that Cheney is a "chickenhawk" who didn't have the guts to fight in Vietnam, but was tough enough to order torture:
It's drowning. It gives you the complete sensation that you are drowning. It is no good, because you -- I'll put it to you this way, you give me a water board, Dick Cheney and one hour, and I'll have him confess to the Sharon Tate murders... I don't have a lot of respect for Dick Cheney. Here's a guy who got five deferments from the Vietnam War. Clearly, he's a coward. He wouldn't go when it was his time to go. And now he is a chicken hawk. Now he is this big tough guy who wants this hardcore policy. And he's the guy that sanctioned all this torture by calling it enhanced interrogation.

Dick Cheney is no longer vice president of the United States. Have you been in hibernation for the past 18 months? I know how you liberal democrats like to sleep.

That's one opinion and there are others that say it very effective.

I have no problem with it if it gets results.

For example, the coward that left a car in Times Square full of explosives but didn't detonate and later tried to escape on the plane. What would you do to him while in custody if he refused to give up info about who his accomplices were? Offer him cappuccino and cookies? A lawyer?

Nope. I offer them a little better than they were going to offer me, or the same.

He wanted to kill me (if I was there, would he have called off the mission? Fuk no.), so torturing him is one step below. Sounds good to me.

Left wing about starting wars, but right-wing about finishing them.

So the left wing started the Afgan & Iraq wars?

Anyone else seen the movie "Unthinkable" with Samuel L Jackson yet?? Deals effectively with all sides of this enhanced interrogation vs torture debate.
