It's amazing to me how much our media and corporations really do run the U.S. I'll be honest, I thought Ron Paul was somewhat of a crackpot from what little I knew of him. By and large, however, I think that is due to what little media attention he receives being negative and casting him in a bad light. I also noticed that he got cast to the side with very little face time in the last debate, and what few questions he received seemed to be questions that set him up to look like a fool.
Recently I had a host of his videos sent to me via e-mail, and I don't think he's said or done one thing on them that I don't agree with. He went head to head with the Fed chief on inflation, has spoken out against the Republican party being even more large government than the Democrats nowadays, and has spoken out against Iraq to many boos from his own party. To top it off, he is all for Americans spending their money however they damn well please when it comes to internet gambling, etc.
I know he most likely won't win, but I'm voting for him anyways. If my vote sends just the slightest message that's OK by me. I don't think I've gotten as fired up over a candidate as I'm beginning to get here, as the clarity in his reasoning is an extremely welcomed change. I know I'm late on the bandwagon, but count me IN as I have seen the light....
