OT: Teacher found guilty in Sudan teddy bear trial
If I ever get a pet pig, I'm naming him Muhammed.
Apparently the prophet Muhammed isn't around to defend himself, poor guy.
Isn't Islam great? Yep, it isn't!

i read that in the paper yesterday. those people really crack me up. i've worked numerous different factory/warehouse jobs in my town, and it seems every person of middle eastern descent that i have worked with has the name Muhammad. i remember working at this one warehouse and the first day, the guy who was showing me around the work stations and he was pointing people out and telling me their jobs and names, as soon as he pointed to a middle eastern guy and told me what his station did and got ready to tell me his name, i cut him off and said "Muhammad?", he says "how'd you know?", i'm like "i think they're all named that".

Wasn't even a parent that ratted her out over this "outrage"...Apparently it was the school's secretary, who obviously is not busy enough.

Yes, Muslims (and other religious fanatics) are easily offended by "perceived" insults to their "leader" or whatever you want to call him/her/it.
I believe religion is the most widely accepted fiction out there, me, I believe in "the force", fvck with Yoda and I'll be insulted.

I recently watched a quality documentary about the struggles in Sudan, which happens to be a beautiful country. Some of the boys they follow are incredibly articulate and intriguingly thoughtful. There is no doubt that this country is yet another horrific example of the greatest evil mankind has ever brought into this world; religion.
