Channel switching between the game and the PBS live debate between some of the GOP candidates at an historically black college (Morgan St, I think) Rep Ron Paul snagged the loudest applause at the introduction, and an equal amount of noise at the opening statements.
Most in the audience of black, presumably highly educated. And they sure seem to like Ron Paul. The leadihg GOP contenders, believing they'll be in front of a hostile audience, decided not to show. Ron Paul a fave of black Republicans. Amazing. Sure, he is still a huge longshot. And will likely still be a representatve come 2009,but there are some things happening in the US that the mass media has not yet tipped to. |
