If Edwards wins the Dem primary, he is a 99.99% lock to win it all. I said it from the beginning, that because of that fact hanging out in the background, he has a real shot to win. I don't know what odds people are setting for him, but I wouldn't be at all suprised if he beat both Hillary and Obama. If he gets the nomination, no republican has a shot against him.
If Hillary gets the nod, which I guess will probably happen, it will be a dogfight to the wire no matter whom she runs against. A dog dog dog fight. I don't mean as in nasty ads, I mean as in behind the scenes, 2 massive efforts. I would put Giuliani as a small fave against her I guess, but anyone else would be at a disadvantage. Fred Thompson I think will deflate quickly, she would crush him. If Obama gets the nomination, he would get beat pretty easily by any of the leading Republicans, unless they fukk it up with the usual mix of buffoonery, hypocrisy, arrogance, stupidity, etc etc which is of course always entirely possible. Only Romney seems like he would be able to keep that stuff to a minimum.
But Hillary will probably always be able to stay a nose ahead of Obama, so I guess if I had to pick one now, it would be Hillary by a slim margin in a dogfight. That bitch can fukkin hang politically, she always gets by by the skin of her teeth, pulling out just enough people willing to vote for her to overcome the mass of people that hates her. But as far as line value is concerned, no question I would take Edwards.
If Edwards wins the nomination, it will be him. If not it will be Hillary unless Giuliani wins his nomination.
