I don't know what you are talking about. Southerners will vote against Hillary in record numbers. They will vote for anyone who has a chance of defeating Hillary. This can be either in the Democratic primary or the presidential election, or both. Hillary will not carry a single state of the Confederacy.

If they were voting against someone who could beat Hillary Clinton, then I assumed they would vote against the Republican candidate.

You might be right applying that to the majority, but it doesn't necessarily apply to this Southerner. If you can give me a weather forecast for places like Atlanta, Tampa, Miami, New Orleans, Houston, San Antonio, Memphis, Little Rock and Raleigh-Durham for Nov 4, 2008, I will try and predict the way the Southern vote goes.

Now, this is about the most sensible post Ive ever read.Bottom line never leave the house unarmed, and you will at least have a chance to defend your life. I will conceed, the odds of needing a concealed handgun to defend yourself are extremely small. Just think of it like a car/home/health insurance policy, you hope you never need it, but your going to carry the insurance just in case.

Don't the last two responses support my point?
Someone willing to put oneself at risk over others could be a definition of bravery. I am not a pacifist, but surely that philosophy would require a lot of bravery.

How did the republican party sell the idea that dems are wusses? Negotiating with your enemy assumes far more risk than obliterating them ( if that is ones power to do so.).
