I agree with your commentary 100 percent. The last election really led me to believe the country is hopeless. Totally hopeless. Bush is a terrible president and an idiot, and he shows how dangerous it is to allow someone to run for president because of their last name. This guy's credentials shouldn't have allowed him to run for city council, much less governor of Texas and the presidency. And I actually was fooled in 2000, mainly because I didn't like Al Gore.
How this guy won re-election is scary. I'm no John Kerry fan either but you'd think some of those "red" states would have voted the other way. I still don't get how all the poor southern states always vote Republican. Why? How can a president send thousands of men to death in Iraq and not be held accountable by the voters.
The really scary thing is, this clown would likely win again in 2008 if he could run again.
[quote=CA_Bettor06]I live in CA which is a somewhat liberal (blue) state , but I've seen the "red" states really take over these past few elections. It doesn't matter what the educated liberal folks in CA and NY think anymore. What controls our country is those idiotic hick right winged Christian states ...the mass majority...the bread basket of America. They count. They are in control. They don't think gambling is moral. They like guns. What is the country coming to? How did we get so stupid? We are an embarrassment to the world. Bush is a moron...a moron leading a bunch of morons....and I'm stuck here with them all....not able to do a thing about it.
