If anything fox news reporters often go out of their way to make sure they're not biased because of the baseless scrutiny.
    Baseless?

An accusation of bias against ANY news station would not be baseless. Fox, CNN, etc etc etc.

so news stations are biased because they are news stations? i don't really give a flip what accusations you make. it's pointless if you can't provide evidence. saying fox news is biased because oreilly is biased is dumb and misleading. media bias is usually subtle and often overlooked by those that are ignorant to the topic.

http://newsroom.ucla.edu/portal/ucla...UCLA-6664.aspx But you probably don't believe in college or the technique used in the study, right? How about common sense? Turn on your tv, turn on any of the news channels, and see if you don't think they are trying to get you to think a certain way. One channel says X is the worst decision/policy/whatever in history, and another hails X as amazing/perfect.

It stopped being "news" for a lot of channels a long time ago.

and? why not find a "technique" where you respond to a comment with a counter argument, instead of conjuring up a strawman. why not just respond with: "news" reporters stop being journalists a long time ago. so just about all news stations are biased nowadays.

btw the study in your link pretty much affirms what i originally said to begin with.

I'll decide on my own posts thank you much.

So we're arguing semantics at this point? You don't like how I didn't single out journalists?

What if we change "bias" to "tone"? I think you could make a very strong argument that employees are expected to follow the "tone" of the organization at any news company, and someone higher up is setting the "tone" for what is discussed.

Let me ask you this... Do you think "tone" exists in the media in general? Do you think "tone" exists at CNN (if you watch it)? At fox news(if you watch it)? At cspan(if you watch it)?

What part of what I said do you actually disagree with? Do you really think arguments of "tone" against news organizations are baseless, or do you not want Fox News lumped in with everyone else?

I'm being serious. I don't watch much tv and I figured you might have a favorite show or something. The only fox news I've seen is from clips online or on various tv shows, so here's your chance to set someone right.

Go back to that thread if you want to continue being wrong. I saw you try to bait me into starting up again in at least one other thread, it won't work here either. Most of the time people argue, if it's not going anywhere they agree to disagree. I thought that's where we stood on the issue...

You could have just as easily copy and pasted from here into the previous thread and posted a note in here for me to check the thread or sent me a friendly pm with a link back to the thread. Continuing here makes you look like a desperate troll, and I wouldn't have even bothered saying anything to you in the beginning had I known you to have troll tendencies. Show everyone else enough respect to keep it out of where it doesn't belong.

That's all I will say in here. Back to the topic at hand....
