Its called common sense. I had to show my ID to use my DC today on a $2.13 purchase. Are you saying my right to vote is not worth more than that $2.13? Let's say hypothetically voter fraud has never happened. Isn't it a good idea to keep the horses in the barn by having ID policies to stop it, than to let the horses out of the barn, and having to round them up later? If ONE person fraudulently votes, then my vote potentially becomes worth less than that $2.13 purchase I had today. Its not a matter of "has it happened?". Its a matter of "why allow it the chance to happen?".

I believe that's just feeding into the monster that all voter fraud happens on the Democratic side. He said that at a Republican State Committee, so you're more apt to hear something like that at that kind of function. As far as what McConnell said, Harry Reid called Bush a "liar" in 2004, Gingrich wanted Clinton to resign, and Tip O'Neill always had something to say about Reagan. All that is, is the current climate of politics.
