Default Is sbr supporting online gaming ban?

Newt G. wants to be President. SBRforum is supporting Newt. Newt's new best friend is the owner of the Las Vegas Sands Corp. Sheldon Addelson. Addelson gave Newt $10 million this week. Addelson is a very vocal opponent on online gaming. Seems kind of strange coming from a casino mogul. Sheldon's official reason for his opposition to online gaming is his concern for "america's youth being exposed to the evils of online gaming and the terrible people who own such sites". Sheldon thinks you should have to wait until you are 21 to be exposed to the evils of gaming preferrably in his casino. Sheldon does not have any financial stake in any online gaming site, software company or an affiliation with an online gaming entity. Sheldon's fellow Las Vegas Casino owners do have interests in gaming sites, software and have positioned themselves to take advantage of legalized online gaming. If Newt becomes President, there will be no movement forward on the issue of online gaming. Most Americans want legalized gaming but Newt really doesn't care what people want or need. So the question is, why is sbr supporting a candidate who is in direct opposition to this sites major advertising/sponsors?

Now tell me why would SBR be interested in changing the status quo? Right now SBR is offering a much needed service and they do a hell of a job. Newt as a R would continue this plan, off shore would stay illegal for American players and this is a plus for SBR not a minus. Think a little SBR is running a profitable business and Newt is the character that has the greatest potential to keep it that way. The R will fight legalizing gambling, the D are the only party that is a threat and therefore they are an unknown. Nothing worse for business than an unknown quantity. If Newt wins SBR has stability and stays profitable that is a for sure, everything else is a maybe.

The only reason democrats like Barney Frank even brought up the subject of legalizing online gambling was because the republicans threw the UIGEA crap into the Port Security Bill back in 2006.

The offshore online gambling industry had years to pony up the necessary bribery money to our nation's fine and upstanding politicians (LOL) as they knew full well that politicians from both sides of the aisle can be bought and paid for assuming the price was right. Unfortunately, they thought they were untouchable being offshore and they found out how long the U.S. arm can be.

The democrats had 2 full years to reverse UIGEA and could have passed anything they wanted in regards to legalizing online betting but they really don't give a shit about it either and once again, no meaningful bribery money was offered by the industry.

Its fair to say the republicans screwed us all in regards to online gambling as the UIGEA was 100% on them. However, I knew full well the democrats wouldn't come to the rescue because liberal democrats are ABSOLUTELY USELESS.
