Clearly it points out that taxes are much tougher to pay for the poorest 20% of Americans. So why is it then, with all your talk about raising taxes on the rich, you never talk about cutting taxes for the poor?

Nope .. it's because the poor already get more than enough tax breaks as it is IMHO.

A family of four earning less than $50k can pretty much get away with paying nothing at all in taxes ... you think I should be championing for that amount to be increased to $75k or $100k ?

p.s. I don't think the chart points out that taxes are tougher to pay for the poorest 20% of Americans .. it simply points out that as a percentage of their income .. they pay much more than the top 1% of Americans. It makes no reference whatsoever as to the difficulty that the top 1% or the bottom 20% have in paying their taxes, this is something that you have created in your own mind in order to create an argument.

I don't think it is very difficult at all for the bottom 20% to pay little to nothing ... just as it is not difficult at all for the top 1% to pay even less than that.

Liked the pledge, KLC. When I was in high school, during the Vietnam war, we had some homey's
that wouldn't stand up for the pledge. Luckily the war was over the same year I graduated.
My draft card was 1H. I would've been drafted in Aug. of '73. Yes, I would've served.

Howard Zinn is an angry commie sympathizer who hates America and believes the world's resources should, and actually would, be distributed fairly by need through a one world government. What you are reading is his argument as to why we should overthrow the American gov't and gov'ts around the world and replace them with socialist dictatorships with endless bureaucratic departments run by pie chart studying dweebs with small penises who want to be seen as the rulers of the world so they will finally appear attractive to the opposite sex.
