Not true.

But you can make people believe anything if you don't teach them critical thinking. And that's been one of the main points on the US political agenda for decades: keep the people as dumb and uneducated as possible. The level of education in the US is a joke compared to other first world countries. And it's showing.

It all works together. Control the media, keep the people dumb so they don't ask questions (in the face of non-stop propaganda), and, where possible, give them a set of pre-chewed beliefs (so called religion), so they think their life has purpose; and control each other in the process, as well as get divided with non-believers over non-issues.

That way you can put a wholesome little nazi mother like Palin on tv and make her absurd views look normal. It has nothing to do with right or left wing, but with controlling the people so that they'll believe anything. And it worked. Suddenly the election coverage is steering away from the MAJOR issues that are on the table, and instead zeroing in on f*cking, non-consequential Sarah Palin. You think that wasn't by design? Try putting a woman like that in the political arena of any other western country. I absolutely guarantee you that she'll be laughed off the stage as a total nutcase. Not so in the US. Why not? Bad educational system.

Sad. America, the land of freedom of the Constitution, was hijacked by ... 'the money changers'. And most stood by and watched. And they called those who stood up and resisted 'conspiracy theorists'. And they did so not because they understood the conspiracy, but because it gave them an excuse to not have to acknowledge their own ignorance.

America was destroyed from within. Not by terrorists. But by its own people, who simply stopped caring about what really mattered. Hypnotized into compliance.

Who benefits? Who took away our country? What they didn't teach you in school:

Great post Horse of Darkness, the U.S is full of many diverse people but sadly the religous ones have proven the ability to organize the most and thus have all the laws in their favor to keep a tight control over the masses. The one thing that they don't have but are working on is the Abortion laws, and if McCain gets in, he will nominate a supreme court Justice that will do wonders to reverse that as a favor to the religous people. Then of course they can work on the gays because homophobes are just pissed that they can't get laid, or they fear that if a gay person comes with in 10 feet of them, they may catch it and then have an uncontrolable urge to suck some other dude off in church.

Luckily, we here in the states have strong civil disobedient strains running through society. So know matter the laws, we will still break them and occasionally some of us will go to jail for the cause.
