the purposes of a fake bin laden tape would be:
1) keep the sheep scared of the boogeyman
2) keep the sheep loving the u.s. government and hating muslims
3) keep the sheep desiring protection from the u.s. government
4) divert attention away from 9/11 mass protests (how much coverage in new york did you see? not much because there were thousands of truthers)

what would the purpose of bin laden actually releasing a tape be? to get himself hunted more? to get more of his friends and family killed? if you're going to attack someone you do it. you don't just jabber about it - "i'm gonna get you"...
