Bush isn't stupid?
Bush attended a meeting of APEC in Sydney last week.
He gave a speech, I mean he babbled. He thanked all
the people for their "Austrian" troops in Iraq. You're in
Australia and you thanks the Austrians. How can you
make such a foolish mistake? People try to convince
me he isn't stupid. No, he's fvcking stupid.
Wait it isn't over. This is a summit for APEC. The
Asian-Pacific Economic Conference. What does the
moron say? Yep, he says OPEC. You're in Australia
George not Saudi Arabia. The man is one moron.
Finally he talks about the danger of a terrorist group.
Problem is no one has ever heard of them. He butchered
the name so badly that everyone was confused. It wasn't
close to the actual name of the group. Look it up if you
want. Some people tell me he isn't stupid. What does
that say about them.
One reporter said, "unfortunately for both international
diplomacy and the English language, the CIA did not whisk
Bush away."

If only that were true he wouldn't be such an embarassment
for most Americans. I say most because about 28% of us still think he is just peachy.
To the rest of the world he is a joke,
but it is a cruel joke. He is responsible for the deaths of
thousands of Americans, the disabilities of tens of thousands
of Americans and the massive deficit all because of an unjust
and actually an illegal war. He may have personally
mortally wounded the R party. And actually that isn't a good thing because it could disturb a needed balance of power.
And the real pity is he may not even have been elected
legally. We will never know for sure.

The funny thing is Bush has more money, power, fame and friends than you (a retired educator/bookie). I would like to see you give a speech and we can critique your public speaking skills.

Wow, so many unsubstantiated assumptions. For the record I absolutely despise Bush the Lesser.
Congress establishes the budgets and they took away the line item veto so you can blame Congress for the massive budget deficits.
Actually, the Islamic Jihadists and Sadaam Hussein are responsible for those deaths.
Hussein invaded Kuwait in 1991 because they were slant drilling into Iraqi oil fields. I'm not even sure that Iraq didn't have the law on their side in that one. Hmmm, country A is stealing resources from country B, country B tells country A to stop, country A tells country B to go kiss off. I think country B may have a right to resort to force of arms to stop the theft. Anyway, the first gulf war coalition defeated Hussein and a truce was declared. The truce had terms and conditions. Hussein failed to live up to the terms and conditions. The truce was revoked, the first gulf war was started back up again. How is that illegal? Now, the mistake that Bush the Lesser made in enforcing the terms of the truce of the first gulf war was in feeling a need to "sell" the resumption of hostilities with all that nonsense about human rights violations and WMDs. All Bush the Lesser had to do was say, "the truce has been violated, hostilities are being resumed".
The declaration of war on the US by the Islamic Jihad put all Muslim countries everywhere at risk of being retaliated against. Personally, I think the war against the global Jihad did not go nearly far enough. I think we should have given Syria, Iran, Saudi Arabia, and a few others their own version of 9/11 and told them in no uncertain terms that if they did not stand down the terrorist groups they support and hand over all terrorists on their soil to us, then we were going to turn their country into the surface of the moon.
Let me guess, your comeback will say something like "America deserved to be attacked on 9/11 because they ....". Right?
My main complaint against Bush the Lesser is that he does not take the war against the global Islamic Jihad seriously enough and did not mobilize the country for war and then go take care of business, instead he took the politically expedient way out and caused the war to drag on and on. And he continues to believe the nonsense that one of our greatest enemies, Saudi Arabia, is our ally. Idiot.

Talk about assumptions. I might say America deserved to be
attacked... my God why would you assume that? Of course, that isn't true.
And I just happen to agree with you, Bush attacked the wrong country. This plus the fact that he had no exit strategy and his stupid idea to disband the army caused most of these problems.
I can argue some other points but we seem to agree on the most important. Bush is an idiot. That was my theme.

I love how you resort to name calling instead of telling us why you think Bush is an idiot. "Bush is an idiot because I say so" is your BEST defense.

I hate G-dub as much as anyone here. Probably more than most. But you can't lay EVERYTHING at his feet. Sure he's a shitty public speaker, but so is Kerry & Gore. GW has weasel eyes and is a bold faced liar, but so is half of DC. Sure, Bush turned the screws to put the U.S. in Iraq and keep us there, but congress had the power to override Bush and didn't do it. Most of the career politicians just went along with the consensus or whatever. Sure there were lies & coverups, but there's enough smart people in Washington to see through the bullshit and cut the red tape. There's more than one guy responsible for all this bullshit.
At best, Bushy is a pawn in a much much bigger chess game. He's just a figurehead. He doesn't write his own speeches. He doesn't make his own decisions. He doesn't run his own agenda. He barely knows what's going on. He's just a name & face, basically a hollywood actor. He plays the part, at least better than his competitors if only barely. Sure, it's sad that this is how our political system works, but that's democracy. That's what we are forcing down the throats of Iraq. Is it a mystery why they aren't taking to it so quickly.
Yeah, the problem is democracy. Sure, it sounds great on the surface, but it's really just capitalistic socialism. The system will collapse as corruption becomes rampant. Politicians continue to find loopholes in the system, over time, as well as create new ones on a daily basis. The people really have no power. It's either vote for crook A or crook B. Golly, I've got the power to vote. Whoopee! As long as the large population is "content", there will be no change. Corruption will push & push until enough people become disenchanted and do something "radical" to force change. But, as we become more and more of a police state, the power of the poor & oppressed becomes less and less. If anything, the attack on terrorism is an attack on poor people. The 911 attackers didn't attack a homeless shelter in NYC, they attacked the phallic symbol of the western world, the money. When we defend against "terrorism", we are really defending the rich and the elite.
