This is why liberal democrats are forever stupid....
They pass a 290 billion dollar farm bill, with a little food stamps for the poor on the side.
Wait a second....
Farming incomes are at record highs......due to the bio-fuel diversion, another free market they f!@#ed up. All time high people. Have you heard of the food shortages?
So they toss them another 290 billion?

They had to keep the corporate welfare on to get Republicans to get on their side. They were more interested in getting aid to people that need it, which the Republicans DONT want. The Republicans are more champions of the farm lobby than the Dems right now.

You'll really think either party gives a rat@ass about anything? The both fvcking suck. Their job is to basically tell you what you need to hear and that's that.

If you aren't in a special interest gang, you are SOL in the USA!
If you aren't in a special interest gang,I mean group in this country, you are SOL!
Everyone wants to be in a guild, group, union, minority status, gender status, old people's AARP group,farmer.etc.etc.where politicians look out for your well being because you weild power as a gang and will vote them out of office if you don't receive welfare, grants, set asides.etc.
It's all a racket and there is no free market or equality where everyone reaps what they sew but it's who they know that counts. If you don't belong to a gang,I mean group, you are SOL and left to fend for yourself.Farmers are nothing more than whining welfare recipients. It shouldn't be this way and farming should be a valuable resource and honorable trade but it's become makework socialism.
I'm so tired of groups,I mean gangs like farmers constantly proclaiming how valuable and integral they are for the country's well being. They remind me of those football boiler room handicapping shows on fall Sunday morning's where the hosts scream that they should be recognized for being the best handicappers.Anytime someone has to tout themselves as being the best or greatest, something isn't adding up.If they are the greatest, you wouldn't have to be told they are the greatest.

Yeah, the world would be absolutely perfect if everyone was a Republican.

We would be much better off if there were no "parties" at all. To be a republican or a democrat is to be closed minded. Nobody can possibly fit perfectly into a "party". Nobody is totally republican or totally democratic. You lean towards one or the other. All the 2 labels do is act to divide the country and make us weaker.

Even worse and more hypocritical is the Democrats energy policy, or lack thereof. They have the nerve to haul in oil company executives for show trials, but block any possible increase in our domestic supply that might bring down the price of that oil. Drilling for Oil in Alaska or offshore - nope. Expand our nuclear energy capability - nope. Expand coal production - nope. Their answer is giving subsidies to produce ethanol, and increase solar and wind power. Their lack of an answer is comical.
By the way, the Democrats also want to tax the hell out of the rich, so for the farm bill they will be giving subsidies to rich farmers while increasing their taxes at the same time. Talk about not having a clue.

If only you had a clue about them, that'd be the first step. Luckily for Republicans, those who are in other parties are either too lazy to vote or decide to try and 'make a point' by voting for those who are unelectable.
Keep up the good work. 20 out of 28 years and counting ... another 4 to soon come, leaving you with 4 more years to whine and complain about the injustice of it all

This is such a ridiculous notion. You really think that most farmers are rich? That's laughable. Drive through the country in Wisconsin and show me just ONE rich farmer. You need to stop believing everything you see on Fox News. There are still PLENTY of single family farms in the nation that struggle to make ends meet. Yes, there is a global food shortage but they're not supposed to subsidize the farmers? Who do you propose they should subsidize? The eaters?

It's also 28 out of the past 40 years. Now tell me smart guy, who's campaign did I work on in 1972? I mean, you seem to know all there is to know about me, my voting habits, probably even know what I had for dinner last night. So taking a stab at which candidate I not only voted for but actually worked for in 1972 should be too difficult for you
