Default New Orleans, lots of variables dealing with being government dependent.

First off,why on God's green earth should someone who doesn't have home insurance expect to get paid for the total loss of their property from the tax payer like the people in New Orleans expect?I have not heard anyone from the media ever bring this up as to why they think they are in special circumstances there where they should be paid.If I'm homesteading 40 acres in the middle of nowhere in Montana and am the only person affected by a massive tornado that destroys my entire property do you think I would have a leg to stand on getting damages paid for if I didn't have insurance?Hell no,I would be considered some loser not a part of a special interest group that is a lone voice in the willderness and would be ignored.Maybe some neighbors 4 miles away would have a spaghetti benefit fundraiser to raise $1000 bucks for me if I was fortunate. The same goes for how 9-11 victims families in New York City were given a gift of 1.7 mill and no one else in this country that had similar disasters got a dime.

In New Orleans the people for decades have become like children wanting to be controlled by the government and given an allowance and they became helpless to fend for themselves when the government failed them. The people there were more or less bred to be disaster fodder. They just have it in their mind where the government knew what was best for them and would provide for them so they never took personal safegards.Who in their right minds wants to have that ward of the state mentality and look where it got them having it.
