I have been informed from Pokerstars that I have been banned for life and they are taking the money in my account. They are accusing me of cheating. I did play several games against against people i know, but never did cheat. Here's the email they sent me. Oh yeah and they are going to take the money and give it to the 1000's of people ive played? gimmie a break! if anyone here gets 3 cents its probably from me.

An extensive review of your play with all cards exposed ultimately led to the conclusion that you were in
contravention of our Tournament Rules and in material breach of our Terms of Service.

Please understand that we do not take such action lightly and that any such decision is reviewed by a board of
specialists who, after looking at the evidence, agreed that such action was necessary and appropriate.

The integrity of our site is our primary concern and it is regrettable that such action is necessary. PokerStars
takes security very seriously, and will do everything it can to protect the integrity of its games.

Card Room Rule #13 states that "In the event that PokerStars deems that a User has engaged or attempted to
engage in unfair play, including without limitation, engaging in any of the activities set forth above or any
other game manipulation, PokerStars shall be entitled to take such action as it sees fit, as described in our
Terms of Service."

Section 5.4 of our Terms Of Service states that "PokerStars shall have the right to terminate a User's account
if a User engages or attempts to engage in any such activity, regardless of the outcome of such attempt."

Please do not try to create any further accounts as they will be closed without warning, and the funds therein
seized to compensate the victims of illicit activity on PokerStars.

Unfortunately, you are no longer welcome to play on PokerStars.

Well they should be able to provide HH's of the hands the said accused cheating occurred. You must be emphatic if you are innocent, otherwise they saw something unsavory in the way you played hands with your friends.

Contact pokerstars support and ask for the hand histories where the alleged colluding took place. Post your case on 2+2 in the Internet Gambling subforum, including an explanation of your situation, hand histories and e-mails between parties. They have representatives that monitor the site and if indeed you were unjustly prosecuted they will rectify the situation.

Pokerstars would never seize money from a customer account unless the evidence was overwhelming that the player in question cheated (being able to see opponent holecards, etc).

Robzilla, obviously you did a lot more than simply play against people you know as I play against my friends all the time (in heads up sit and go's etc).

If you are going to start a thread like this, you should be entirely truthful as to what you did so you can get an honest evaluation as to whether or not what Pokerstars did was appropriate (I'm assuming thats why you started this thread).

Post back and let the forum know what you really did.

The reasons that they have are borderline questionable at best.
They basically gave me a bunch of hand histories and said explain why you did this... and then they give you an example.
One was when I folded pocket aces. and they asked why i would fold the best hand in poker. The answer was that i was on the bubble so i folded. The scenarios are mostly me folding when my friend was in BB or him folding when i was in BB. that is hardly colaborating. its not like i was dumping chips or doing squeeze plays or anything. anyways, pokerstars is bullshit.

are u a ratard? if there are 2 people all in, and u are on the bubble, you should fold anything and everything. its the differance between making something and making nothing. AA isnt the game genie of poker. it doesnt put u in indestructable mode.

i cant stand pokerstars, however i dont see how folding pocket aces is that big of a deal. 1 pair is still 1 pair and most of the time its not enough to bet big

Had a guy in a home game f around about folding pocket aces and I said "I'll give you $10 if you ever prove to me you fold them pre-flop"...literally next hand he smiles at me and folds them face up...He was a cheapskate and really needed the $10 though..

maybe what they did was unjusted. none of us really know your situation and how you played.. if you cheated or playing poker ghosting to win big money.. i think you deserve it.. if you didnt im sorry to hear about that.. but if you go around creating accounts under different ips how are you a good person..
