yes is avg i have two antivirus the kaspersky is completely normally except the avg one and i cannot install new poker client

Looks like AVG has updated their virus signatures and sbr.exe has one of the new signatures. Re-installing it doesn't help. We're trying to find a solution. We may have to do a new release to get rid of the signature.

Meanwhile, to run poker, you have to add it as an exception in AVG:

Open the AVG user interface

Click Tools->Advance Settings

Click Resident Shield

Click the + on "Resident Shield" to drop down more options.

Click Exceptions

Click the Add Path button

Browse to "C:Program Files (x86)SBR Poker"

Click OK

On Windows XP or Vista (32 bit), it will be: C:\Program Files\SBR Poker

The one shown is on Windows 7 (64 bit).

Best solution would be to uninstall AVG and install Microsoft Security Essentials instead. It's infinitely better than AVG, both for protection and for lack of annoyance.

No, just use the best product. MSE is the best antivirus, free or otherwise. For macs, couldn't say, but for windows it's the best. The apple fanboys at lifehacker agree with me, if that counts for anything.

Your solution, solved my problem. My workaround last night was to play SBR poker
with AVG turned off. I like your solution alot better than mine.

AVG has done a great job for me, and I actually like getting alerts once in awhile, that lets me know it is doing it's job.

No, because they said it doesn't mean it's true. But it is true. Lots of tests through virus databases as well, MSE by far beats AVG.

Thanks for the suggestion Carl. Never hurts to put out another choice. We can always try it on our own and if we like it then something has improved in our lives.

Agreed MSE is the superior product. I still use Avast however..which is also easily better than AVG.

Avast is the only other one I actually like, but prefer MSE for the low annoyance. Anyhow, sorry to start an antivirus argument. Worth a short for anyone else having problems with their antivirus blocking shit like the other people in this thread, or even for annoying updates etc.
