Good idea to wager this now, do not risk either one of these games going to -9

I like it. However, I usually wait until Saturday when the lines have sharpened themselves out and are set to place teasers.

Garcia confirmed as starting for Tampa? Like the play if he is.

So you are handicapping these as having value w/o the teaser, as well?

Not exactly.

Look at it this way donjuan.......

If you were to take SEA(-300) and TB(-400) in a moneyline parlay, a wager of $100 would net one a profit of roughly $67...............

By teasing them down under the key number of -3 to the relative dead numbers of -1 and -2............one can make a 6 pt even money teaser and thus laying the same $100 will net one $100. Now, obviously, there will be times will one will lose on this teaser when a game falls on 1 or 2...........however, the percentage is so small, that by teasing these types of plays in 6 pt teasers at EVEN MONEY(very important), it makes for a +EV win over many, many plays of the same magnitude.

Not sure if you or the board are aware, in the past my profession was that of a Las Vegas oddsmaker, and I can tell you with complete certainity, that no way would I be willing to book these type of wagers. In fact, 6 point 2-team teasers can no longer be found anyplace in Vegas, as the ones that did have them, dropped them in the early 90's because the wiseguys were simply hammering them into the red.

I'm well aware of Wong teasers. My issue is that Wong teasers work best with the most efficient numbers. The most efficient numbers will come close to kickoff. And with a line at -7.5, I'd much rather wait and hope it hasn't moved to 9 than to see it go to 7 which makes it a -EV play.

I understand completely............

I guess to answer your first question then, yes I do handicap the teasers and do not play them all blindly.

.....and yes, we can have a lengthy and thought out discussion on the advantages and disadvantages of betting them early AND late.............however, I do not feel like typing 10,000 words.

By the way, the majority of my teasers I do play late.

By the way, I do not like to refer to them as "wong" teasers.

Yeah, if you are handicapping them and have those numbers as fair value or have them as having +EV, then it's almost certainly better to bet early as a move to the 9 is not only more likely but a move to the 7 doesn't really matter as long as your handicapping is correct.

That's just the common term that is used for teasers that cross the 3 and 7. Is there something you'd prefer to call it?

I was told never to wish a gambler luck.......it's an insult to an intelligent gambler such as yourself.

Having stated that....

Best wishes,

I prefer to call them "+EV teasers", and yes, I'm well aware of Stanford Wong having booked his action in Vegas, as as attacking with him on various sportsbetting plays, and video poker as well. Resided in Vegas for close to 20 years and worked both sides of the counter 16 hours a day.

I'm not aware of any that do in the offshore world, but I'm sure there is.

ABC Islands once had 7pt even teasers .....and TIES WIN.

One of the greatest moneymakers in offshore history for wiseguys.

Unfortanately, I must take the blame for ruining the play by promoting it on a few forums.

For that I'm extremely sorry for.

Keep an eye on the Giants, Pats, Cowboys, Titans, Vikings, and Broncos as possible teaser considerations.

Fish or anyone else. Would this be correct? if you took a -420,-300, and another -300 favorite and parlayed the ML together that would result in a $120 win on a $100 wager. If you played all three in a 6 point tease that payed +180 you would collect $60 more($180) as long as the final score didn't land under 3 for the favorite, assuming the NYG were laying 2 1/2 for the tease and the other 2, TB and seattle, won by 2 or more. So the 3 team tease would be the better play, correct?
