one unit ? i mean what does this exactly tell you if you don't know how much one unit is worth to pavy ? meaning size of bet , it's a worthless question in my opinion BBD , now the real question is how much did you put on each one ............. but maybe you can explain to me how units are calculated BBD because everytime i hear somebody say i got 20 units on this or 15 on that , does that mean it's a highly liked selection ?????? oh and one more thing if you really like a play and you wanna risk a big amount from your bank roll how would you calculate it in units ? now i understand what standard units are like if a -150 ml loses your -1.50 units down for the day and vice versa with ML dogs , shed some light on this for me BBD thanks BTJ

Hey pavy, good to see you on the football boards. I remember paying attention to your picks in NCAA baskets (or was it football last year?) (or was it both?).

I'm on the Georgia Tech and UCLA picks.

I sort of like Michigan, too, but I'm trying to lay off betting on crappy teams. I do think, though, that Notre Dame is at least a touchdown crappier than Michigan, even at home.

(By the way, the way I see it, generally, "unit" doesn't really have to mean any particular amount. The idea of the term is to let people know the relative amounts of your bets. When pavy says all his bets are for one unit, it just means that he's bet the same amount on each game. Some people don't like to discuss the dollar amounts of their bets. And, anyway, the dollar amount of bets is useless information, unless you know the person's financial status and attitude toward wagering. One person's $1000 might be like another person's $10.)

Because I don't like Notre Dame and the line was a pk. It was a very easy choice. Michigan also plays without pressure on the road.

Only thing that scares me about Cals offense is I know they will hit some road bumps this year. I dont think it will happen against Maryland but it will sooner than later. -14 seems to good to pass on though, hopefully by today I can get some more info and make an early play

I agree with the Cal play. Maryland struggles against the run. They lost to both West Virginia and Clemson last year by 17 and 13 who run the ball frequently. I will buy the hook at -13.5 though.

I will prob do -13.5 as well, one other play is AU-10. How is know one all over this game. Yes the last 2 weeks I have had Au and i am 2-0 with them(ats). I understand that Au will prob be a 7 win team at best but man -10 against New Mexico is crazy. I predicted this game at -18 on sat night when I looked ahead. Im telling you tease it st bet it but -10 AU is the best Ncaa game I have found on the board in this early college year
