I'm kind of skeptical about it, Mike. San Diego has a bad tendency of getting started slowly. I think Carolina is an underrated team this year, especially with a healthy Jake Delhomme. That is a pricey ML. The injuries to Gates and Merriman may hamper them as well. I actually think there's a much safer pick in Cincinnati this weekend...

good point, but I am thinking they can't afford to come out slow this year. Point taken will consider prior to pulling the trigger.

sd over carolina w/ out steve smith on the west coast should be fine.. im a big schedule guy though and it is true that sd goes on the road the next week to denver and then hosts bret favre on mnf at home.. you know sd isnt 100% healthy and they could underperform the home game before the home mon. night football game.. we'll be pullin for ya if you decide to pull the trigger...

Not a bad play. I think you can find better value on the board, if you are going to lay money like that. For instance, why not lay the ML on Pitt at home against the Texans? You will make better money, for less investment. Pitt doesnt lose here. the Chargers are playing a potential playoff team from the NFC.

Now that is the wisest comment yet. The only thing that scares me is the Steelers are my favorite team. I hate to go big on them, they lose I am pissed double.

They win handily here, Mike. They have such a tough schedule, that they are definately going to win games like this. Tomlin is a great coach and will have that team chomping at the bit Sunday.

I don't like that proposed NO play at all. Betting on a team because they have "the most explosive offense in the league" is a recipe for disaster. The hurricane/displacement will have both positive and negative effects on NO. I'm staying away because it does look too good on paper, from a strict matchup point of view.

I'm getting some hits on Steelers PANIC loves that game. They are my favorite team, but I try not to bet with my heart.
